Well...I don't know what you're referring to because I did exactly that. I was able to pre-order my phone and pickup and pay on launch day. I put nothing down.

Yeah that’s true. I was able to make it work.

Used my dad’s Verizon account to order mine and used my mom’s AT&T account to order my partner’s.

Our Verizon account is corporate which isn’t recognized by Apple’s systems so I’m just going to pop out the SIM cards when I get the phones and call it a day.

This. I can't take people who pull the whole "People just ordered X so they show others they have the newest model" seriously. Are there people out there that do that? Sure, but most people buy something because they like it. Why that's a foreign concept to some is beyond me.

ATT still has all models in 11 and 11 Max in all colors delivering 9/20.

Have to say: the iUP pre-sale process sure did make it stupid easy to give Apple my monies this morning. I think it was maybe 2-3 touches in the app and done. Took all of 20-seconds.

What makes you think OP is buying an iPhone instead of paying the mortgage? If someone can afford a $6,000 monthly mortgage, I have a hunch they can afford a $1,500 iPhone.

Several things happen every year and it’s so funny. People judging what you’re spending on, people saying the leaks are terrible and the event is going to be garbage.

Thats why you never know what people want. EVERYONE its the same phone it will have no demand blah blah blah, the average consumer doesn't watch Youtube reviewers rate phones nor do they know what may or may not be coming in 2020. They seen this phone and said I want it and ordered it. Sorry just bothers me when we as individuals try and speak for the masses.

In 2015 Apple sold 231 million iphones. In 2018 they sold 217 million phones. Their global market share has been falling. Because they will only come out with 5G capable phones next year or later, some of the people who would have upgraded this year might sit it out. Goldman Sachs earlier today reduced Apple's price target by 27%. I think Apple will continue to do well in the US, but not so much world wide particularly in the growth markets of China and India.
