Introducing Baccus - a flexible, fast and efficient backup application for your Mac. Baccus simplifies and manages multiple backups to external drives and NAS systems.

Imagine arriving at work and, without lifting a finger, have your computer start backing up your files. Simply connect to your network, or plug in your external drive, and Baccus will start syncing to your backup destination straight away. Baccus will even automatically mount your NAS shares!

We use our own high performance sync engine, built to take full advantage of your storage to ensure a quick and efficient backup. Baccus out-performs Time Machine by more than 15x when using an external SSD, and is more than 30% faster using NAS or spinning hard disk drive.

Take control of your own personal backups and free yourself from the lock-in of cloud providers and 3rd party vendors — give Baccus a go.

Baccus is closer to Time Machine than it is to Superduper! or Carbon Copy Cloner. However, we created Baccus due to Time Machines reliability and speed issues, and it's lack of flexibility around NAS (network attached storage) and external drives.

Baccus is very easy to configure, and even easier to maintain your backups. It detects when your external drives are plugged in, and automates the backup. Baccus will also detect when it can access your NAS storage, and will automatically mount your network share in the background.

It really starts to shine when you have multiple backup destinations, like a NAS at work and home, and a couple of revolving external drives for offsite backups. It is perfectly suited to ensure your data is backed up to more than one place, without having to do much more than plug something in.

Our sync engine is in the top of its class. It has been designed to be as efficient as possible, and being one of the only multi-threaded sync engines out there, it's incredibly quick.

We're very excited about Baccus, download the trial and see for yourself!

Are you the developer of AutoMounter? Same visual design language, both from NZ, posting around the same time, screenshot includes the name 'Andrew' and the Pixeleyes website references 'Andy'.

Hi there - thanks for the message. I created AutoMounter - however Baccus is a team effort, created by Factorial Ltd.
