I tried to like ios 7 ,but it really does not help the fact that i hated flat and colourful design over deep sophisticated ios 6 look..
icons are inconsistent with all the 3rd party apps, i have over 100 hundered apps installed none of them have ios 7 wise design.
i think i will survive with ios 6 as much as i can..
i need a few stock apps from ios 7 i liked..
compass app is good, i liked the level bubble thing, is there any 3rd party app similar to stock ios7 compass ?
Not only icons are pretty ugly current design is far from apple's design developed in many years, its totally going to different way. Now it feels like microsoft or android..

forstall's design was deep, dark and realistic. It was looking premium. Ios 7 looks childish and dodgy to me. The design itself got quite very simple with very pastel colours ,but overall user experience got complicated.
for another design failure i see is the circular geometry used does not appeal to me..
apple designed ios 7 for iphone 5C ,not for standard iphone.. it much suits to 5c..
no, i am not installing ios 7...
now back to ios 6 and happy, it already does everything i need.
Yeah, the strangest aspect of this whole thing is that the iPad mini doesn't seem to be performing too much worse than the iPad 4. My mini stutters a bit at times, but it's certainly usable. This leads me to believe it is more of a software issue- if it was a hardware issue, I'd expect the iPhone 5 to be as equally taxed as the iPad 4. Yet the iPhone 5 runs iOS 7 beautifully.
I think it has more to do with the sheer number of pixels the processor is driving in the iPad 3 and 4. The Retina display on those iPads is a monster, and I just don't think they've ironed out the animations on those devices yet. On the mini, and on the iPhones...it's a much smoother experience. But I don't think iOS 7 on the iPad 4 is bad enough to justify reverting to iOS 6, especially knowing that Apple will fix it.
Ironically I've still not gone back to iOS 6 since putting 7 back on for my little 'experiment' earlier.
I just like the look and features too damn much!
So I just DFU restored back to iOS 6 via iTunes on my iPad 4th Gen and after spending three days with the GM of iOS 7 I have to say it's quit a staggering difference in performance.
Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is just so much smoother on iOS 6, my iPad feels like the powerful device it is and not the stuttering mess iOS 7 had made it become.
It's a shame because I do prefer the look and features of iOS 7 but until the performance matches iOS 6, I won't be going back. The only downside to staying on 6 is that when all the apps begin updating to the iOS 7 look it'll bring a bit of inconsistency to the home screen.
I'll be keeping my 4S on iOS 7 though, because it runs as smooth as iOS 6 did. Hopefully Apple bring the iPad performance back up to par with a .1 or .0.1 release, but I'm not holding my breath.
Any other iPad users going back before the iOS 6 signing window shuts on the 18th?
You should take it to the Apple store. There's definitely something wrong on your iPad. I have it running on my Gen 3 iPad, and it works perfectly. Buttery smooth and snappy.
7 versions of the iphone & you honestly don't think it's even possible that it's outdated??? If not, what's the shelf life of the design... 10 years? 20? Or do you think it should stay that way forever?
The iphone 4S is still available for purchase and is older than the iphone 5 so there goes your theory of "planned obsolescence".
From a software point of view it makes NO logical sense to stay on an older version of a software. "The icons are ugly" is not a legitimate argument.
iOS 7 brings better multi-tasking, background updates, new APi's so that you can use game controllers to play games, airdrop to easily share files with people near by. What Does iOS 6 give you? The best of 2007?
These "I'm not updating" threads are getting ridiculous and tiresome. You WILL update. If not now, you will be forced to later.
Why so emotional? It's just a phone.

With the 5S, after recording at 120fps Apple will let you select which part of the video you wanna play slower. Slower meaning 120/30 = 4, so 4 times slower.
This app will then add a whole new thing to the 5S. Its 500 and 1000fps features look pretty decent with a 5 (it captures at 60fps), so if it's got twice as many frames it'll do twice as good I suppose. And that is 1000/30 = 33.3, so around 33 times slower.

If that video is typical of what this app does, I'm not too impressed.
Controller center works fine. The little glitch animation when doing a four finger close is there. Nothing crazy. Overall it's running really smooth. I mean I don't even notice the difference between ios 6 and 7 now in smoothness. Safari is much quicker on ios7. I mean even the verge loads fine without stuttering for me. On ios 6 this wasn't the case. Haven't tried Siri. Messages and everything else is great. Loving this in my mini a lot.
Thanks for replying back.
There have been very few experiences posted with iOS 7 GM with the Mini, so much so I bought a second Mini which was preowned. Got it at BB and I have 60 days to return it cause I am a silver rewards member. That will be my test device. I have not run any betas, it may give me a feel for IOS 7 to see if I even like it but as far as problems it would only be beta so ....

Good design is timeless.
Don't count on it. This is the new design and it will stay this way for a long time.By the time Apple stops supporting iOS 6, they'll either have something better than they do now...

I however love iOS 7, some icons could be better (iTunes, App Store) but I can live with that. Aside from some of the icons, it's freaking awesome!
Every time I look at iOS 6 I think of one of these:

Pretty premium, right?
