It's a personal choice, why does someone care if someone else does or doesn't update? Who cares? I'm more weirded out by that than by whether or not someone would update.
Maybe we should talk about why people feel some compulsion to care about what someone else does on their own device that doesn't affect everyone?

The beauty of a GM is that you can test the public release and downgrade if you hate it! I love iOS 7, but whatever works for you.
Apple used to hit homerun after homerun. Now, they hit a lot of ground outs, and we're thrilled if they even get on base now. And it's usually just a dribbler just inside the foul line that the runner just barely beats out.
Apple's engineers are clearly confused and don't have a clear esthetic/functional vision as they once did with Jobs at the helm.
OS 10.7 and 10.8 just look tacky to me. Itunes 11 was, and is, far worse. Maps is the object of widespread derision.
Even iOS 7 is subject to significant criticism.
The reality is, apple's got wimpy, confused, let's minimize our losses pseudo-leadership at this point.

totally agree man i want forestall to come back to company this man prove that he is a legend (IOS 6 is more beauty in every detail even animation is more beauty i bet IOS 7 users will miss the camera and deleting animations)
I think it has more to do with the sheer number of pixels the processor is driving in the iPad 3 and 4. The Retina display on those iPads is a monster, and I just don't think they've ironed out the animations on those devices yet. On the mini, and on the iPhones...it's a much smoother experience. But I don't think iOS 7 on the iPad 4 is bad enough to justify reverting to iOS 6, especially knowing that Apple will fix it.
Sorry man, the quad core graphics chip in the iPad 4 is a beast. It can run Ashpalt 8 at a smooth frame rate but changing the orientation of the home screen is about 10 FPS? Sorry cant accept that logic at all.

You should take it to the Apple store. There's definitely something wrong on your iPad. I have it running on my Gen 3 iPad, and it works perfectly. Buttery smooth and snappy.
Oh please, just stop. Go check the thread about iPad 2 and 3 iOS 7 thread and tell everyone in there that there is something wrong with their devices.

By the time Apple stops supporting iOS 6, they'll either have something better than they do now, or I'll migrate to another platform. It's easy.
Why would I spend £600 of my hard earned cash on an Android clone.
If I wanted a phone that looked like an Android I could have bought an Android for about £200.
I'm sticking with 6. One of the reasons is the Music App on 7. Apple have totally killed it in my opinion.
Also the Calendar App is no where near as good on 7.
If it ain't broke Apple don't try to fix it.

Of course it's not like a Phantom HD, but there's no other option so it's a nice app imo.
I agree with the OP. Although I would argue that iOS 5 was the best. That was before the horrible new App Store/iTunes store, and before they ruined the music app. But anyway, trying to put off updating to iOS 7 works for a little while but eventually when all the apps stop supporting iOS 6, that's when you're screwed.
I guess we just disagree. Many examples of "good design" from hundreds of years ago that would look ridiculous if used now. Yes, it's still good design... for back then. However if used now it would be clearly outdated.
Don't count on it. This is the new design and it will stay this way for a long time.
I however love iOS 7, some icons could be better (iTunes, App Store) but I can live with that. Aside from some of the icons, it's freaking awesome!
I don't know.. with Ive in charge of iOS development now, I think we'll see more changes, albeit consistent with the new direction that iOS7 has taken. But I wouldn't be surprised to see some icons changes to iOS8 and additional functionality in a 7.1 and 7.2 over the next year.
