I was seriously considering swapping out my brown box, very slight light bleed, but dead pixel iPad out for another replacement. However after seeing so many of you getting one with bad light bleed, I'm inclined to just hold onto this dead pixel one until the light bleeds get less common.
A single dead pixel can be annoying, but not as annoying as light bleed issues when watching movies.
Dead pixels? No no no.
They dig into your mind like a little chisel. And you know this. You don't see an ipad anymore. When you power on you see a 10inch dead pixel.

Is the one on the left an original iPad?
Also i think the yellowish screens are normal
Both are ipad 2s. The one on the left had terrible light bleed so the right one is my replacement.
In all honesty, the whites are, well, not white when compared with the first one...I really don't know what to do.

Good news. Apple has my iPad and I just got an email that it's pending replacement. Hopefully it ships today and I can finally say finally.![]()
JUST got my new unit today.
it's a fail. worse than my original ipad 2...
will be calling Apple for full refund again and placing a new order on Apple Store online... sad...
@ 100% brightness
good news is zero dead pixel and no scratches.
Was that a new-in-box or brown-box replacement?
New-in-box.

Hi all had to sign up to post my problems.
I think someone is trying to tell me something I got a new iPad2 last week from the online store from an order i placed about a month ago, but it had 3 dead pixels and a lot of yellow bleeding around the edge of the screen, fine i thought and rang Apple UK and had it sent back.
Replacement comes a few days ago and this one has 2 dead pixels which tbh aren't as bad as the older one which had a massive white one or bunch of white ones. But the yellow screen bleeding on this is awful and its off back. So rang them up again today and its off back and a new one has been ordered by them.
So next week will be iPad2 number 3 and if that's worse or not up to par its off back and i will be getting a full refund, not happy by all this messing i love the iPad but these issues shouldn't be happening at all in this day and age!
They are crediting me £40 though for all the 'inconvenience', not like that matters i just want an iPad2 without all this crap.
I cant go to an Apple store as the nearest one is Manchester UK and tbh they wont have any to replace it with.
My iPad1 had none of these issues.

(an unhappy Apple customer!)
It's frustrating. I have iPad number six being delivered this morning.
Bloody hell!!!
Well they have one more chance before i go for a full refund and leave it for a few months till most of the normal stores like PC World etc have plenty in stock and i can have a look at it in store!!
I expected more from Apple tbh this is shocking.
