What is the cost of the electricity to charge it I wonderI drive a XC90 T8 (plug in hybrid) I pump gas every 3-4 weeks. After this lease I’ll be going fully EV. I haven’t worried about gas prices in a very long time.
Very low vs. gas, at least 50% less. What is the cost of the electricity to charge it I wonder
technically nothing for me as I charge over night and my electricity plan has "free" overnights from 8pm - 6amWhat is the cost of the electricity to charge it I wonder
This. I either don’t spend enough time on social media or I’m not a Pro enough user, but I have never felt my battery wasn’t adequate, or not been able to charge my phone at least once throughout the day.The tests conducted are being portrayed as typical use and linear when that isn't the case. There are too many variables involved that the YouTuber conveniently leaves out. The YouTuber also touts himself as a pro user, whatever that is supposed to mean. lol The video, in my opinion, is being shown through a cloudy lens.
One person may get excellent battery life with the 15 pro while another may get an hour or two less. That happens with every model. That doesn't necessarily mean that the phone that gets less with some users is "bad", as is being portrayed in the video.
With the ability for a lot of the population to charge at least once during the day, I really don't understand the obsession with so many people of not charging when they can, just because they are trying to hold Apple to some definitely battery life when Apple has never guaranteed set battery hours every time for every user under every condition.
I disagree based on my own experience. Left my house today with around 45% battery on the 15 pro. Used Google maps to travel to a destination around 30 minutes away and also used google maps on the way back. I did nothing else on the phone. After that approx. 1 hour, the phone battery was down to 5%. That's significantly worse than my 13 pro.
I’m going to try the 80% max charging limit.
Who’s with me?
Can be, check your screen off time, there can be some offender app or bug. Happened to me sometimes, a reboot often fixed itJust have a question about my old 13P.
I activated Airplane Mode with wifi on. In 19h battery droppef from 100% to 82% without a single use. Sure a few notification come still through (5-8) but is that normal?
Not really, it just means you are on your phone way too much, I'm using the iPhone 14 Pro and I used to have the 12 Mini before that and the battery on both are fine. The 14 Pro /15 Pro are the new 12 mini / 13 mini with the bad battery life.
Clickbait. Monetizing. Faux outrage. End of civilisation.Battery tests this early into launch and the new iOS 17 is a bit much…maybe wait til iOS 17.1

I too would like a lower clock without sacrificing 120hz..I searched for my old 13 Pro launch day battery posts in another forum and have to say probably they are the same. Maybe 15P slightly worse? Time will tell. Yesterday from 8 am to 11 pm I had about 3h SOT with 39% battery left. I was out for lunch for 3h and I used nearly 100% screen brightness and LTE and during my drive I streamed music. Played Clash of clans and Clash royal for about 20 min.
Also what I noticed: When I don't use my phone much during the day battery life is worse. Like checking phone every 20-30 min for about 1-2 min (WhatsApp, iMessage and maybe mail). If I use the phone for 30-40 min straight I get much more screen on time. I once got 10h SOT on my 13P with a lot of YouTube and browsing. But I used the phone for 3h straight (yes 180 min SOT in 3h)
But I had also sometimes 2h SOT with 50% battery left on my then new 13 Pro.
Would be happy to get 6-7h SOT with the 15P.
It would also be nice to customize the low power mode. I want 120 hz but I don't need full CPU and GPU because I don't really play games. With customize low power mode I would use that way more often but can't go back to 60 hz
16 pro is rumored to be 6.3 so ofc battery will be better . i just cant stand something bigger so ill just cope with the meh battery on the 15 pro I supposeSeems like Apple’s tick-and-tock approach to the battery life ends at the 15 series. I’m not all too impressed with the 15 Pro’s showing either. As someone who’s looking to downsize to a regular Pro from my 13 PM, this is disappointing. I guess we gotta wait till the 16 Pro series for some substantial improvement in battery life.
Those tasks that were done, shouldn’t put too much strain on the A17 Pro. My only assumption is the 15 Pro battery size is still too small to benefit from the efficiency of the new 3nm architecture. Seems like the Pro Max is still untouchable and I would still sacrifice size and weight for battery life.
In contrast to the 11 Pro and 13 Pro, they were absolute tanks with battery life for their sizes back when they launched in 2019 and 2021 respectively.
