I agree, it's unfortunate that so many are having issues, a premium product like this shouldn't need troublshooting right out of the box.Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)
isnt thats apples job?
falut finding, swtiching things on/off, fiddling with settings starts to sound like were on android or windoze
I dont know about you but I bought apple so I dont have to do those things
That said, when Apple added the multitasking APIs in iOS 4, it became possible for apps to misbehave in the background, so it is at least worth investigating if certain apps using GPS or push notifications are causing problems.

What is your 3G signal strength like at home? I have seen as much as 5% drain/hour in very poor/fringe service areas - the phone is working very hard to actively maintain a connection. My 3-4% overnight drain is with the phone connected to my local WiFi network. Of course if you don't have WiFi you should turn it off but WiFi certainly uses less power than 3G for actual data. Have you tried airplane mode overnight, just to see?Well, now I AM sad.
I've got 50% of battery drain during the night with most of features disabled (including wifi and push).
I did the 3rd iphone restore now. Lets see... third is the way to go ahahahah
If you did a restore as new with the latest software and you're still losing that much battery at night with a decent signal then it's time to call Apple.
