People complaining B1 is censored make me laugh. Don't listen to it then. That's what the streaming is for: listen to your music.

It's still an excellent station. I listen to it because of the DJs, not just the music.

Why do people care so much about the radio section of Apple Music? Listen to whatever music you want, that's the real reason you would subscribe to Apple Music. Radio is just a nice added bonus.

A few things:

1 why the heck does tapping "Complete Schedule" take you to a Tumblr page??!
Why not show the schedule in app?

2. There should be a live cam
While the DJ's on and during interviews. This is 2015. This is Apple.

3. The most irritating!! Why isn't there an option to view Beats One song history?!! This really kills the discovery flow.

I really wanna know what song played with that female rapper rapping casually like Kesha. X(

Uh. This stream is censored? Useless. This is ridiculous. What a shame.
This stream is free. My guess is that after the three month trial, it might not be that way. If the thing is free and anyone can listen, you don't want parents (or other potential customers) getting mad because their kids are listening to what they don't want them to listen to. If the stream is paid for, then there might be an option in the future for the sound going off on certain songs if parents have the parental controls on. Or, if no such control, parents can decide not to buy this for their kids, but might still want it for themselves.

Beats 1 is censored. Censored = fail!
Um, no. It's only "fail" if it stays that way after people start paying for it. At the moment, Apple just wants everyone to give it a try and see what it's all about. So, it kinda-sorta has to be clean. It is global, after all.

1. True, this is very unprofessional.

2. Ehh, that would kind of defeat the purpose of a radio station.

3. This is needed. Maybe in the future? iTunes Radio had it.

1) Yes, a little annoying. The app only shows you a few hours ahead. Maybe that will change.

2) No, it's a RADIO station.

3) Again, annoying but hopefully that's added in an update.

An interesting theory but I don't think the stream will switch to paid. It will always be free, IMO.

Beats 1 doesn't require an Apple Music subscription so will always be free.

I quite like it so far, but not sure if it will replace listening to my own playlists. Now just need a Beats 4 with a contemporary drama in a rural setting... (That's a BBC Radio joke.)

The live radio is what sets Apple Music apart. It's a way more enjoyable way to consume music. Makes me feel I'm there live in the studio.

I do wonder how much or many of these shows are prerecorded. I imagine the first hour probably was for logistical reasons.

On the censorship issue, there are various obscenity laws in the US related to free broadcasts. You might be able to see explicit scenes on HBO (because you pay for it) but you won't see the same on ABC because it is broadcast free. IDK what laws exist in the rest of the world, but I don't think Apple can legally stream free uncensored music.

I was under the impression that the free trial was whenever you started it not that it was just free for the world for June, July and August...

And they've said that Beats1 will be free with just an Apple ID. and as others have said about censorship it's a live show so there will likely be just one version.

I think there are some quick, simple improvements that need to be made.

1) A play history for Beats 1. This is so simple.

2) A visual display of the status of the currently playing track. Right now it is ultra confusing. There seems to be all sorts of music played at the moment, I have seen the following on Beats 1:
- Songs playable on Apple Music but which you cannot heart / add to library
- Songs playable on Apple Music which you can heart & add to library
- Songs only purchasable via iTunes, not on Apple Music
- Songs that are as yet unreleased on iTunes and hence cannot be played at all (David Zowie - House Every Weekend).
Except you can't find these things out without manually searching their situation. This needs to change if Beats 1 is to push the 'discovery' element of music.

3) Better, more solid way to view the schedule, perhaps with Siri and Reminders integration, so you can be reminded when your favourite DJ will be playing, or remember to listen to shows.

I think another cool addition, though it's not as simple / universal as the three mentioned above, is to make the heart seem more tangible (what does it even do now?). Perhaps when I heart a song, add it to a playlist called 'Music I Love' or 'When Beats 1 Got it Right' or something. To be consistent with the Apple Music set up procedure, a double-tap of the heart on Beats 1 could say 'Add 5 songs like this to my 'Music I Love' playlist'.
