Just received confirmation my phone is ready for pickup. I ordered the space grey since no gold was available.

I just got an email stating that my "fulfillment is taking longer than expected" and that it's expected within 30 days. :(
 
Just got my email stating ready for pick up as well. Boston, MA. Best Buy actually doesn't suck afterall!

I'm actually taking it as further proof that Best Buy does suck, since they probably let us all order for store pickup by accident due to their incompetence. I assure you, Best Buy does suck.

Is apple care and the leather cases available for purchase in Best Buy?

No apple care. They have their own awful warranty. I'm guessing no to the apple cases also since they are not on their website and everything else is.
 
Got an order ready for pickup email at 907am for an AT&T 16gb space gray ordered around 3am. Pentagon city, va store.

Thanks. I've ordered a backup from ATT for now. They're telling me that my store doesn't open til 10, so I'm going to call back then and see what's up. Perhaps the manager at my store has a different take on it then at others (and chose to not honor online because there were lots of people in line?). Ah well.
 
I am at the store , it said ready for pickup but they don't open till 10am , and there's no line even waiting for the store to open could have probably walked in at 10 and bought one . Oh well
 
my order status switched from 'payment validated' to 'preparing order', but the status still says checking inventory. anyone have some insight?
 
Got my email as well for a 16GB Space Gray at the Atlantic Terminal BB in Brooklyn. Probably helped that I ordered the most common 5S out there. I feel satisfied since I walked past my local Verizon store and there was a big line.

Anyone know if you have to activate in the store? I will be running over on my lunch hour and don't really want to take the time to switch things over then. My iPhone is my work phone as well and I need it up and running. The emails says to allow time for it, but can you just grab and go?
