Best Buy pick-up appointments

I was #5 and a 32gb black. I asked about picking up a second phone and was told I could reserve a second phone starting Thursday at 10am. She also told me currently they had 59 phones on pre-order for that store and they did not have the stock to fulfill all 59 pre-orders.
Went to my local store in Central NJ where I pre ordered before the same people who have been working there for years, looked at me yesterday when I went in to ask and they said they have no clue, and they really do not know anything. They know me also because I pre-ordered their last year and I guy all my electronics at this store, but they are clueless as far as amounts and delivery.
I couldn't do anything more then thank them for being honest.
They are supposed to make calls today or tomorrow, but they say they have no idea how many they will get in, and I am #14 on the Black 32GB units, but they also do not know what time they are getting their shipments in either, so who really knows. I even asked the manager and he said their HQ tells them nothing until the day it is released, which knowing the way BB works, I think that is the truth.
Last year they told me they wouldn't get the 3GS's in until late in the afternoon, however around 10:15 am I received a call to come in and get my 3GS, so I figured a Pre-Order from BB again would be a good thing to do, I hope I am right.

Im 13 and 14 on the list at a small Best Buy Mobile only store. People on Best Buy's site is reporting 5 phones for mobile store and 20 or so for full size Best Buy.
Im considering ditching the iphone and ATT after all this mess. What a disaster. I get a better discount with a FAN account at Sprint. Evo might be in my future

For the last two days, my BB has never picked up the phone. I gave them 50 rings and still no pick-up. Haven't got a call yet.
My first and last time I deal with Best Buy for a pre-order. I'll only deal with BB for Black Friday deals. If I'm #11, I'm pretty much screwed if some of these stores are only getting 5. Even if I was lucky that my store got like 50+, I'm not waiting until 2-3p to make an appointment and pick-it up.
A 100% going to the Apple Store. Hopefully, I am in and out of the store by 9am and will get it by the time the early birds of BB arrive for their appointment. There is a new Apple Store opening near me, and I don't have to deal with a reservation line because of its grand opening on Thursday. A savior for walk-ins. Might even get a free shirt if I'm one of the first 1000 and even a cool bag.

I called my Best Buy today (central Illinois) and they said that they will be calling people on Wednesday to make appointments and that the appointments will start at 7:00am (which is kinda lame if all the phones are going to pre-orders anyways).
No information on whether I am going to get a phone or not but I was #13 and #14 (including all models) and requested the Black 16gb for both.

I tried to get my local store several times today and couldn't get through on the phone. I finally did just now (at 4:45) and the main receptionist told me they would call "when they get them in." She said our local store in Harrisburg, PA doesn't have them yet and they "hope" to have them tomorrow at which time they will make the calls. Yikes!

There is a really friendly community leader who works for Best Buy on the BB forums (Jacob). He's been answering people's questions regarding which store has received shipment. I asked about Store 450 and he said they did.
I called right away and they did indeed receive their shipment about an hour ago. I was told I would be receiving a call within the next couple hours and that since I'm #7 in line I would have nothing to worry about, but again he said he would call me to reschedule my appointment time as stock estimates have changed. Hope this helps!!!

Just received the call from ATT store. They initially screwed up my pre order, I was #4 at the corp store on launch day. I went in the next day as I had not received confirm. They apologized and told me that my pre order did not get placed because the people manually inputting all PO inverted the stack, I was 4 from the bottom. After my initial meltdown, I calmed down and went to BB to actually change carriers. The dude there told me they only had 5 people pre order, so I was # 6 and #7. While I was at BB, ATT corp store called and told me my pre order would be fulfilled in the #4 spot due to their incompetence. WELL
The call came 5 minutes ago and I was told NO DICE. ATT would get me my iPhones on the 26th. What a joke. This is by far the worst Launch yet.
I think I am fine tho' as I went to BB this morning to inquire about appointments. She pulled the sheet out and asked me what time I wanted to come in. 1030 or 1100am. Only 1 appt ahead of me at 10. I took the 1030, and she said that they already received the shipment and I have no worries.

My Best Buy called a little while ago to set up an appointment. Since Best Buy was my Plan B...I ended up getting through at Apple.com, and it is set for delivery tomorrow, I needed to cancel my "pre-order" but I didn't want to bug them as I know they are probably overwhelmed.
This store (Culver City-Westfield) is AWESOME. I told the lady upfront that I purchased through Apple.com and they can go to the next name on the list. I told her I will use the gift card on another purchase. (I'm saving gift cards and Reward Zone points for the 2nd gen iPad).
She was very nice...thanked me..and now somebody else who wouldn't have otherwise gotten an i4 from this BB will have the opportunity.
I should have asked her how many they got in, but I know they are probably super busy....and probably getting yelled at A LOT.
This particular BB is VERY well-run. I realize that this is NOT the case with some other BB's, especially the one at Sepulveda and Rosecrans in El Segundo, with which I always have bad luck.

I called around hoping some Best Buy received a white phone. I called almost every Best Buy in the Phoenix/Glendale/Scottsdale/Mesa/Tempe/Gilbert/Valley area of Arizona.

Best Buy (Orange, CA on Chapman) called. Phones are in and I'm good to go for a Black 32G. First appointment is 11am on Thurs.

I called my Best Buy today and they said they'd be calling to make appointments tonight or starting tomorrow morning. If I don't get a call tonight I'm definitely calling promptly at 10am tomorrow when they open.
I reserved at the Ogden, UT location and am first with a 10 am app. I ordered a 16GB black (initially ordered white). I got the call at about 11am MST
