Best Buy Pre-Order Availability

Just charged my AMEX for the tax for my in store pick up. I feel like they are just messing with me. Previously just my applecare was pending on my card. My order Status: Your order has been received instead of just "pre-ordered"

Now Status: Preparing your item for pickup

Same thing happened to me last year. I got a call on Thursday evening saying my 6s+ had not come in and didn't know when it would so I went to ATT on Friday and bought a 6s. While I was there getting my phone activated, BBY called and said my 6s+ had come in so I cancelled the one at ATT and picked up the one at BBY the next morning. I'm hoping my 7+ will come in today or tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll just wait until it does I guess. I would like the gift card though if it doesn't come in this weekend.
 
Just went to my store in Seattle where I had an in-store pickup preorder for a Black 256 Plus. They got one demo unit but no other pluses and do not know when they'll receive them. Really apologetic and nice about it but no phone for me today! Hopefully it doesn't take as long as October 7th...
 
Called my local bestbuy and lady told me no 7 plus came in today and only rose gold 7 32GB are available.

Order status still processing, No delayed email with $100.
I want to cancel but I feel like the phone is coming soon so i might just wait.
 
Went into best buy today to pick up a case for my iPhone 7 and their Apple rep told me they actually received several 128gb Matte Black 7+ phones this morning. They were sold almost immediately, but they're apparently out there in the wild.
 
I called my local Best Buy just to ask about their stock on the off chance they may have something. They had an automated message before you even got to a sales rep that said if the call was in relation to the iPhone 7 to just check the Best Buy website as it will be updated with their available inventory and they would be unable to discuss available inventory over the phone. So I've just given up on trying my luck at Best Buy. I have a preorder in at my local Target, so an iPhone 7 Plus will be set aside for me as soon as they get a shipment with the model I want, and I'll also start checking my local Apple Store daily as soon as reservations go back online tonight at 12:01am.
 
Can you place a reservation at Apple Store even if you have a phone preordered elsewhere?
 
So I canceled with Best Buy last night and walked into an AT&T Corporate Store today and out with an iPhone Plus Gold 256 GB. I wanted Black 128 but I guess this is better than nothing. On the watch front, my Best Buy got the newly refreshed Silver Series 1. I will wear that for 30 days, during the return period, while I try to secure my Stainless Steel Silver Series 2.

You should be able to reserve one outright(pay in full) Then you have two weeks to cancel the best buy one and open up your upgrade line. Then you can go back to apple within the 14 days and change to a payment plan through them if you'd like.

When i was picking up my wife's this morning they let me reserve another one right then and there as she wanted a bigger size then she reserved.
 
Card was just charged, status is now 'Preparing your item for shipping', and I got an email about my agreement with AT&T - that's a good sign I guess!

7+ 128gb, black, AT&T.

I have the ATT Next plan so I can't do that at Apple?

Best Buy is down to a 14 day return period, I believe. Unless it's something special for Apple Watch.

Its a 30 Day return period for everything if you are Best Buy Rewards Elite Member. I think Elite Plus may even get longer.
 
Anybody with in-store pick-up getting any change in their status for the 7+?

Nothing against you, I guess you had good luck with that, but I think it's completely ridiculous they're taking a reservation for you, but no one else can yet place a reservation on their website. Or are you iUP and have the new special privileges? If not, does this mean I can walk into my Apple Store tonight and make a reservation without waiting for the reservation site to come online at 12:01am tonight?
 
I actually ordered a Black 128GB 7+ this afternoon after finding out the T-Mobile 7 that I preordered thru the Apple Store wouldn't work with my Verizon sim card. So I'm taking the 7 back to Apple and Best Buy shipped the 7+ out today and says it should be here by Monday.

Still way better than 10/7! I ordered 2 of the exact same phones. I'll take this as a good sign. Can't see why you wouldn't get those soon if they charged you and updated your order status.
