Best Buy Pre-Order Availability

I know this because I am a Supervisor within the company, and I have been continuously employed with the company since 2005.
I plan on going to pick up my wife's phone and hope they have a regular black one. I will trade out "with" a 100.00 gift card since I cant go to another place and get one. (because of their stupid hold placed on upgrade eligibility)
If not I will resort to kicking and screaming on the floor like normal.

Ok I went to Best Buy and they had a floor model of the jet black, wow that phone is beautiful! They didn't have mine but had several Matte black ones.
I wound up getting one of them instead of the jet black. I would love the shiny one but would be on pins and needles using it afraid I would scratch it.
If they had a full body zagg type skin I would have gotten it.
The phone is really nice to use though good luck to you all
That's actually false. Contract phones are the exception to that rule. Why? B/c the 14 day policy is a carrier thing, not a Best Buy thing. Sure you could return the phone past 14 days but the contract would not be able to be reversed. So basically for contract mobile phones, its 14 days. Just FYI

Spent all day breaking hearts when I had to tell them we had no Plusses in stock. It really has been the "worst" Iphone launch for us in terms of product availability. I really do feel badly for customers who preordered and still couldn't get Plusses
The problem is they launch in like 15 countries to start. Keep it to the US the first weeks dicks
If they do that, it is a class action lawsuit in the making. They are giving out these gift cards, which expire within 30 days, to keep from having that happen.
I will be disputing my Credit Card charge if they try and recoup the $150 in gift cards they gave me for lying. ($50 for Watch and $100 for phone).
I disagree. To me, that means if you cancel or return 'the item you buy with the gift card', you won't get the gift card back.
I used the the one they sent to us for the watch after canceling the watch, no problem. Also, 2 different reps said the coupon was yours to keep. I'd add some stuff to your cart and see if it discounts.
This is exactly what it means. It wouldn't make since in that sentence to be talking about the iPhone preorder since they are talking about situations in which the promotional code is LOST.
What's everyone getting with their $100 credit? I'm still undecided, might hold off until the Beats X come out (hopefully before it expires) or use it towards a gen 1 Apple Watch.

This is weird: I got the Backordered notification email and it says that I should receive my delivery no later than...Tuesday 9/20. That's the original delivery date that I was given when I placed the order. I was kind of hoping it would be backordered into October so that I could get a $100 gift card.
With my $150 for the iPhone and Apple Watch Series 2, I got the nice stand up magnet Apple Watch Stand, from Apple, and the 4th Generation Apple TV. I think I ended up paying 40 something bucks.

I did in-store pick-up and just got my delay notice and gift card email tonight.
There was some speculation about that yesterday so I am glad Best Buy came through for you all. Hopefully you can get the phone you want as soon as possible.
I am going to use a non-black iPhone for the first time ever. Not sure I will get used to the white face of this Gold 256 GB but happy I got my hands on a phone today.
