Best Buy Pre-Order Availability

So I just talked to Best Buy after 30+ minutes of waiting and they said: all orders got moved to November. When I questioned them regarding their email from corporate saying Oct delivery date they said that the new shipping date for nov 7 just happened (supposedly). He said that they still expect for them to ship earlier but there's no guarantee. Then he said if I would like I can wait and they would transfer me to a specialist so they could look further into order and they placed me in hold for 5 minutes and hanged up.
I'm done believeing in their lies and I'm just going to wait. I'll start hitting some local stores from att and see if they have anyting and I'll cancel Best Buy.

I just called the 888# again and still said being prepared, but it was an electronic message. You are talking to a person. How do you get to a live person?
 
How do you talk to an actual person and not the automated system about your specific order expected date? I was a 9/9 preorder for store delivery. I did get the $100 delayed email late yesterday, quoting the 10/7 date, but that is obviously a blanket email and inaccurate at that.

I ordered a 256 + RG ATT. Anyone think I can/should change my order to delivery? Some +s seem to be getting shipped actually. I've read/heard somewhere that they don't order store stock based on preorders, and that in store pick up preorders just sit until the store happens to stock that model and then those get filled before the models go on the shelves.

Update: After never receiving the $100GC, nor an email with updated availability info, I decided to just call around to various Best Buy locations in my area. Found a Best Buy Mobile store about 12 miles away that confirmed they had the phone I wanted in stock (256GB 7 in Matte Black). Not only that, but he offered to hold it for me until end of day. So I called Best Buy via the 888 number on their website and was connected to a rep in under five minutes. That rep canceled my order and opened up my upgrade eligibility with At&T. With the order canceled, I drove over to the BB Mobile store and had my phone purchased and activated in under 30 minutes.

I don't think I'll waste time with the BB pre-order ever again.

I'm not a fan of the phablet trend. In fact, I'm still waiting for the industry to realize that it's a dumb idea (not sure that's going to happen at this point). I have a MacBook. I have an iPad. No need for a phone that doesn't fit in my pocket. In fact, if they made an iPhone 7 mini, I'd be all over it. I'm 6'4" with long fingers and I often struggle to reach the top left corner of the screen when using an iPhone with my right hand. Yeah...I could use reachability, but I'm stubborn and don't think I should need to tap 3x (2x on the home button, 1x on what I'm actually trying to tap) just to - as an example - tap the shortcut that jumps me back to the previous app.

Now...if only the 7 had the camera of the 7+...

The crazy thing about this whole order process is that its funny to me and no matter whom I talked to on the phone from best buy they try to play dumb... they throw out 3 dates and I questioned them on why their website is not reflecting everything they are giving me. They are telling me November 7th then the lady tried to be slick and say oh I checked another system and it say October 14th..

and I asked her why doesn't your site reflect this information and she had zero answers.... this is a really bad experience and I gurantee I will never order from them in the future any phone device. I will wait out this October 7th date but I am still on the hunt...

Burned by BB so many times, I vowed last year, never again. Public Service Annoucement, here. Looks like Apple just released 7 + to the general public reserve page. Checked my store and saw 256 Matte Black available today. Looks like very limited availability, but it was definitely reservable for non IUP buyers. Good luck!

How do I get to that page on apple and im still new so what is IUP?
 
I just set a reservation at my local Apple store at noon for a 7+. If i cancel my BBY order now will my line be free'd up for upgrade by then?
