Best Buy Pre-Order Availability

And I would have a 32GB black 4S reserved until 11AM on launch day (assuming they got enough to get to my place in line, number 9). If I didn't pick it up by then they would take the reservation off and make it available to walkins.

After much arguing a blowback from people that bought from BB they changed there policy and said they would hold the phones for the weekend.
From what I remember most stores were going to make reservations available on Saturday morning but my store was doing It at 11. And I said never again will I order from BestBuy.

That is the way we got our phones last year at BBY. They were reserved, not preorders. We did get them on launch day, but my husband had to take a different one than he reserved. This year they said the one I wanted was not available to reserve so I would have to preorder and the only one left to preorder was the 256 RG plus which was fine with me. It was actually less monthly than the 64 RG+ I have now. Who knows when I'll get it though.

Last Time this happened with a device for me they told me it says release day for all checked out and I wouldn't get it until 2 months later. So I gave up on best buy
 
So someone on here that is close with DM for att said they will have very limited stock of plus units,no Jet Black units. So that means we probally won't get squat in. Lol oh how Friday is going to such so bad. We have already had calls asking when people can start lining up.......

Still no update... Time is running very very slow, its been a very long day at work. Would say will have this feeling until friday? or i bet till i get my phone. 🙁 hopefully i would get mine by friday. Rose Gold 256 sprint store pick-up 🙁

I have a 7 on preorder thru Best Buy being delivered to my house on launch day or so it says. I jumped on a chat on Best Buy.com and I had the person check the order I my series 2 watch and 7. He said he just checked with his operations manager and was told their website was wrong as they are legally not allowed to ship the phones before launch day so he said probably Monday the preorders would start going out. I told him I felt he was mistaken and he checked with his supervisor and came back with the same answer. All very weird. So do I cancel my order and try to reserve one in store? So far series 2 watch and iPhone 7 are just processing.

I won't cancel just yet.. I highly doubt they will ship out on monday. Call your local store (on friday) and have them pull the tracking info or notes on the OMS .COM order and they can give you a status update.

The phone rep is wrong,it will make it to you on launch day if stock is available. Same thing applies to Games,Movies,etc. They always make it to you on the day they release. Never take what a chat or phone rep tells you with a grain of salt.

They have no clue what they are saying, I've had phones come on launch day from them
 
Take it with a grain of salt, but just spoke with a phone rep, and a chat rep, both gave the same info. The phone rep looked up my order and told me it looked good for in store pick up on friday. The chat rep told me that if you were able to get through online in pre order, the phone should be secured on friday.

I doubt it because I ordered the iPhone 7PLUS jet black 256. Apple preorders aren't even coming in jet Black Friday

Do you have the option to cancel still available in your order tab?

Completely incorrect. I know someone who works for best buy and they looked up my order and confirmed that it WILL be delivered on Fri.

Hate to break it to you man,We have no idea what units are coming in and who's order is going to get fulfilled. We can NOT go off our inventory system as with launches like this they are incorrect. What he probably saw is the scheduled delivery date which says Friday,If it is fulfilled on time who knows. We wont get our inventory of the phones until possibly Wednesday / More than likely Thursday.

Lol so not looking forward to Friday. Pretty sure we're gonna get plenty of regular 7s in (minus jet black) but it's the Plus model that everybody wants. And those (especially black and jet black) will more than likely be nonexistent. Lord just get me through the weekend with my sanity still in one piece

Lmfao, this will be me.

I'll be even worse though because I'm going to get the angry customers asking me "Well how did you get yours then???" (under the expectation of me getting it at Best Buy)

I got my ass up at 3 AM Friday morning and pre-ordered through the Apple Store app... That's how I got mine. 😎

Anyone in the store than gets the new iPhone is not allowed to have it out on the sales floor,just so we avoid this problem right here.

Dealt with the same issue in 2013 when I had my Gold 5S lol. This year, I'm not taking my jet black iPhone + out for like the first 3wks. Don't feel like getting bitched out by customers, b/c I got my phone before they got theirs. Some people can be petty AF

IDK guys lol. We don't have that policy in my store, so I'll have my phone out regardless. The customers are just gonna have to deal when I tell them how I got my phone, they can't be mad at me for that.

I didn't buy it through Best Buy so... yeah.

EDIT: It's not like I'm gonna flaunt it in their faces, but I guess there's no air of urgency in terms of hiding my phone so customers can't see it.
