Ehh. Too busy to be pulling out your phone on an iPhone launch.. + I bet my manager will tell me to have it out because we use Voxer just in case we have questions during crazy times like this.

LOL... We got our a few days ago, I received them and was like damn.. not one good looking case. Like really? Lemonade cases?

No kidding! They look like crap I can get off ebay! The tech 21 is nice though!

We got ours in a few days ago. Checked out a few of them. Didn't think they were bad at all. I'm hoping to get a black Tech21 case for myself lol

Yea the tech 21 was probally the best one,the rest were just blahh. But you know they will sell out in a heartbeat.

Gah! BBY better come through on their pre-order, Apple have reopened their store reservations and have the phone I want available to be reserved & picked up on Friday but I can't cancel my BBY order so that better mean it is being fulfilled.

I thought that was only for people that are in the IUP? When I go and look it says in store pickup not available for this item. Am I missing something?

Ah it might be, my current phone is on IUP but am switching back to Next with my BBY order, however if I could get the phone guaranteed I'd likely just take the hard pull on my credit to stay on IUP but I can't cancel this order so I just have to wait it out.

Still no movement for ANYONE that ordered online for ship to home?

Nothin' here either. The cancel option for my watches is still there, but not for the phones- whatever that means. Man, if something wasn't coming Friday, I was going to go stand in line, but since I can't cancel now... Anyone about to talk to someone with Best Buy main number (or something?) about why that option is gone?
[doublepost=1473854739][/doublepost]So I found this referring to canceling in Best Buy: http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/BestBuy-com-Knowledge-Base/How-to-Cancel-Your-Order/ta-p/960398

It seems to imply that when its 5 days from REALEASE date, and 30 minutes after your order, you can no longer cancel. (But I can still cancel the watches?) so Monday morning would have moved into that 5 day period. So if they do not ship and arrive Friday, what happens? Do the phones then go into backorder status, under which I can then cancel?

I just don't understand why they can't provide simple details like what number you are in the system for your model at your store, how do they plan to use that information to fulfill orders if they don't know it? Also surely by now they should know what inventory they are expecting so a simple cross check should be able to tell if a pre-order will be fulfilled on launch day?

It sounds like all of our orders just automatically lost the option to cancel 5 days before launch day and as such doesn't mean jack, if so I'm not going to be very happy especially now after Apple released more phones for the IUP and I could have got the one I wanted from there.

Ayy,welcome to the mess we work with :) Stuff like this is why I say Bestbuy and Target are not good places to look at Pre-ordering Apple Launch Devices. Is it all Bestbuy fault? No,since Apple does love creating this hype and demand type feel by limiting inventory ,however can Bestbuy do a better job at launching and fulfilling preorders? You bet so,not only is this frustrating and stressful on staff, but also leaves a horrible and unprofessional look to our loyal customers!
Did you have an in store pick up or delivery of your iPhone set up?

In store pickup with the thought that deliveries to the store through the usual supply chain would be more efficient (am sure you'll laugh out loud at that) than having to separately ship it out for delivery to home and also so I didn't have to hang around all day at home waiting for UPS or FedEx as our UPS guy has been known to come as late as 10:30pm even outside the holiday season.

Yep I agree with you. I feel your frustration, believe me. I know we wish we knew what the heck is going on. Maybe a phone call to corprate and getting in touch with a corprate customer service agent can get you better results?

Pardon my ignorance for not knowing, I've never purchased an iphone from Best buy but once the phone releases can i pay full price at my local store for the 7 if they have in stock? Thanks

It looks like now for the 7 black 128gb BB is only offering "in store only." And previously every store near me said available pickup on Friday but now within 250 miles no stores have any available.

Question for those of you who work at BBY. I assume that all of the phones coming in will go to pre orders first... followed by whatever is left over can go to walk ins?

IDK guys lol. We don't have that policy in my store, so I'll have my phone out regardless. The customers are just gonna have to deal when I tell them how I got my phone, they can't be mad at me for that.

I didn't buy it through Best Buy so... yeah.

EDIT: It's not like I'm gonna flaunt it in their faces, but I guess there's no air of urgency in terms of hiding my phone so customers can't see it.

Exactly. As a manager I literally HAVE to have my phone on me at all times, especially during launch weekend. Anyone upset by that simply because I've got a new device that I PAID FOR OFF COMPANY TIME AND NOT USING ANY COMPANY RESOURCES can shove it.

I respect customers but I do not respect false entitlement

That gives me some hope, looks like a lot of the regular 7's are still available to be ordered online so hopefully they have correctly allocated their stock and aren't just CYA'ing.

Since you work at BB can you respond to my above post? Thanks!

So I have been calling Best Buy Customer Service a lot this week. They have remained firm that my Apple Watch Series 2 and iPhone 7 Plus Black will be delivered on the 16th. Noticing it still hasn't changed status on either order, I called again today. This time, the Rep said they just got new information from the supervisors this morning stating that orders for both Apple Watch Series 2 and iPhone 7 won't ship until the 16th. This is completely different than what their website said when ordering the items.

I asked to speak to one of these supervisors. The hold was about 15 minutes but when he finally answered, I was told that the items will be delivered on the 16th as originally promised at time of order.

Just beware if you call Best Buy about this. I sure hope the phone and watch get here by Friday. I am switching from a Nexus 6P and a Huawei Watch and will be on a cruise from the 18th to 25th. So I won't be here to get a delivery next week...

Why would you be using your personal phone when assisting customers in the first place?

Pretty much. As the phones come in, they'll be picked for preorder customers first. If we get any extra (non preordered) iPhones in, we can sell those to walk ins
