Thank you for a heads up on how things will happen. Will they have the orders assigned to available devices prior to opening? Or does this take longer than prior to opening?

It should all be done before opening. In fact I believe our GM is having some of the Operations team start assigning the orders before I even come in. It depends on how many preorders your store has. Our store our GM is very smart and has a team set up for appt. to pick up the phones,a team to handle walk ins,and a team to help transfer data and set up your phone.
It depends on how many preorders your store got,our store got around a good amount so of course it will take us longer to check in the devices. I would say if you didnt get an email or phone call by 10-11 AM then I would call. Again this is going to be different between stores and districts. Our store is a larger store so we have the man power to be able to have teams set up. A smaller store may only have 2 people work in mobile and do everything.
Well that's what I'm debating lol. I don't wanna wait till 10 to hear and be told i wont get when I could gone elsewhere and waitEd for one...debating if I should cancel the best buy store I chose (chose the most populated one) and preorder through the best buy Mobile store in the mall
That's exactly what I was hoping to hear!! I was in my local Best Buy today to buy some things and asked if they could tell me how many pre orders they have for 6s+ Rose and I'm the only one!!! Fingers crossed!
Good luck,Im hoping it will go smooth but every apple launch is a complete mess. If your the only one the chances will be high that you should have one.
If they know the numbers off the top of their head they could. I only know because I'm a huge apple fan and help do the Apple releases.

One other question...I have the best buy I ordered from, and than across the street theres a best buy mobile inside of a mall (I'm sure most people don't even know of)...if they are out do you think If I would perhaps rush over to the mall they may have some? read somewhere to try through them since a lot are unknown lol
They could. I should also say do NOT have another Bestbuy check the location of another store for you. Stock is going to be likely off or be sold by the time you get there. I know we're not supposed to do this but just in case an employee does other wise.

Question to BB employees. I pre ordered for a pick up and when i get there, i want to get it without opening the box (its a gift for my wife and i want her to open it)

Someone on best buys forums posted that his store started calling and he received a call to set up a time on friday to pick his up..
I just checked the price match guarantee for BB and apparently there is a 25 mile radius for price matching competitors? In other words, the closest Apple store to me is 37 miles away from the BB so it sounds like I can't price match
Depending on who is there they will just price match it for you. Be aware some stores will not price match a phone that is tied to a contract.
Ok so it really comes down to the employee then? Crossing my fingers they will give it to me. If not I am gonna be really frustrated.
