I went with the Agent 18- it was between that and the iSkin. The winning factor for me was the fact that I had both for my old mini, and the iSkin picked up a lot of lint and dirt.

hows the one that came with the ipod... i never opened it... i just don't want scratches on my ipod... i put the the powersupport film stuff...

its a bit tight on the 30gb one. i don't know if they use the same case for the 60gb one or not, but if they do, then it would be really tight around it.

i would go with the agent18 case though.

I wish I had my agent 18 case I ordered it the 24th and I still don't have it :(

They're selling the Agent 18 at most Apple Stores now. if you live by one you could pick one up and return/cancell your online order.

I looked today at the apple store but they only had a case for the 60g video ipod and that was it..

Yeah thats how it was at my local Apple store. They had like 10 cases for the 60GB and none for the 30, but I just thought that they were sold out of the 30GB cases since they were the more popular model this season. I hope the stores carry the 30GB model because I haven't ordered the case online yet so it would be at least 2 weeks before I get it.

This is what I made for my ipod. Took me about 3 days to knit and sew together, but hey its free and it will fit with a case on my ipod.

Is that European?? (Seinfeld)

After looking at all the options I have decided to go with the "Contour Showcase". Its not out yet for the 5G but I contacted a representative who told me it will be out in a few weeks. I like the idea that you can open and remove the pod when you want pretty easily. I would need to do this for docks, car adapters etc.

any silicon cases will pick up a lot of junk. they do tend to get sticky, making them hard to get out of pockets. They also add a good amount of thickness... i have never used the invisible skin thing, but it seems that would be the best.. only changing the texture of the ipod.. what is the point of buying a small ipod if the case only doubles it's size?

Because there is no other option. Apple doesnt offer the "iPod Mega". Im finding the 5g's a little small for my taste and welcome the added bulk.

You are correct about the silicone issue. hard to slide in and out of your pocket. Invisible Shield does the same thing.

Why is bigger better in this case?

DO YOU PEOPLE EVEN READ THE THREADS? Or do you just jump on a single post and take it out of context???

Where did I ever say "Bigger is better"?
I just personally wanted a bit more bulk.

I just got my agent 18 in the mail, its nice I like it. I left the screan protector that apple gave me on my ipod, so it protects the click wheel. I think I will wait till my apple store gets some cool looking pink ones in or I will save up for a vaja.

Well, let's take a look at what you said again.

The case adds bulk (size), which you welcome (like).

Would you rather I asked why bulkier is better?

Just got a ToughSkin for my 30gb and it fits great. Its a bit of a pain to put it on, but not too hard. It's perfect for going to the gym and stuff. I'm sure if I dropped it now it would be fine. My biggest complaint, the ipod video with any case is a bit too big for me, and they scratch so easily that you have to get a case. And they have no belt clip like the mini. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get a nano and suffer the loss of storage.

Podsplus

I was going to get one of those Podsplus cases too, however, in researching I found that there is a 1/8" gap between the front of the case and the click wheel when putting the 30gig version in. Apparently, when the 60g is enclosed it fits well.

I'm still hoping that somone has heard something about Aluminum Rhinoskin case for the 5G video ipod. Aluminum back/plastic front.

I have the Speck See-Thru and they are awesome. They don't interfere with the screen brightness or quality at all.

the powersupport film is what i got for mine. its great and you cant even tell its on the ipod. plus theres no stucky stuff that wil ruin your pod.

Difference between Agt 18 and SeeThru from Speck

Does anyone know the difference from them besides color? How the Speck opens etc. Port opening etc....

How does the Speck See-Thru open and close. Is it as durable as it looks?
