This makes no sense to me. So, the Flolab saved your phone and yet you decide to get a different cheaper brand...? Lol? Also, Flolab will replace your shattered protector for free according to their website.
I have no concerns about the protection offered by the cheaper brands, they have served me well in the past as well. This is about preference for how it looks more like there is not a screen protector with the flolab covering more screen.

I looked and it does not sound like that is the case with them replacing one that worked properly vs was defective in some way, but would be happy to be wrong there and get another one for free.

Next time might I suggest keeping your snarky "confusion" to yourself instead of needlessly ridiculing somebody's decision who was just trying to contribute to a thread to help others

This is a forum and comments are allowed (both positive and negative).

Just because you "think" that a cheap glass protector will protect as well as a premium protector does not make it so. I personally don't care what you use to protect your phone, however, you shouldn't tell people cheaper is better. In the end, you get what you pay for.

From Flolab website:
A Warranty You Can Count On: A limited lifetime warranty means if your iPhone 12 Pro screen protector glass ever gets worn or damaged, FLOLAB will replace it for the life of your device

From Flolab website:
Sure there are a lot of things in life that are allowed but doesn't necessarily make it the right thing to do. I thought it might be nice to have a bit less negativity in a crazy world when we are out here talking about screen protectors for a phone. Happy holidays to you.

[edited to remove "grinch" in the interest of not adding more negativity, take care]. for what it's worth i did also purchase another flolab.

I'm not sure why I am a grinch. Lol. I got you a free protector from Flolab (I asked them on FB messenger and they confirmed that damaged ones are replaced for free, $6 shipping charge).

Does anyone have a smartish case for their 12Pro? I got the Flolab protector and it doesn’t work with the case. Super sad about this...
Also still having the rainbowing issue with polarized sunglasses...
I’m thinking of just going naked

Using a brand called "Humixx". Tempered glass and has a built in grille in the earpiece opening which is a nice touch. With a case on though, I see alot of dust and lint accumulating between the edge of the glass and the edge of the case I'm using.
This is what I have. For $25, the fit should be better. Too small.

I bought this one and installed it on my 12PM. Super easy to install and comes with a guide and wipes. I really like the feel of it.
Does it leave a gap around the edges or is it really a full fit?

It has a small gap so that any case can fit. With Caudabe Sheath case and Casekoo screen protector.

Hi all,

Apologies if this has come up already - but I'm confused that so many people like the screen protectors that actually cover the front facing camera.

I have used dSLRs and have noticed that even with 'decent' UV Pro-1 protection filters, I can notice some hazing of the image that isn't there when the lens is exposed. Is it really possible that a tiny bit of tempered glass on top of the front facing camera on an iPhone wouldn't also have some negative effects?

One of the main reasons for upgrading from my iPhone 6 Plus was for the massive upgrade in cameras, so i don't really want them covered with some (still relatively cheap) plastic or tempered glass (I did like the idea of the Torras tempered glass protector (£20), but it seems to cover the camera). My iPhone 6 screen protector was installed in the apple store, has a cut out for the camera, and is still going strong all these years later!

I've managed to find a screen protector with a cut out for the notch on my iPhone 12 pro max - the Spigen EZ Fit (not yet received the phone more the protector), but my girlfriend's iPhone 8 needs a new protector and the Spigen EZ Fit for iPhone 8 covers the entire screen except for speaker and a tiny bit at the top for the proximity sensor.

How about you guys, have you noticed any hazing or degradation of the image from teh front facing camera with a screen protector that covers the 'whole thing'?

Cheers,

Ed

I got spigen with a cut out at the top. I also bought full cover protectors which I’ll give a go when or if the spigen one cracks. I’m a little apprehensive going to the full one as they were cheaper for 3....

The fitting of the spigen ones were the best I’ve ever used. 199% recommended.

My iMos sapphire glass should be here Saturday. Will post pics as well! I had the first version with issues with the adhesive so the replacement is finally almost here. Stuck in transit since mid December 😪

Link to the spigen you got? Sounds like you got one without a notch?

I'm sure every screen protector beat this one lol...
After reading some of your comments it appears that you have a vested interest in the brand you mentioned and keep pushing. Good luck to you. The $2.99 one which I use is less than half the price of the so called” free replacement “ charge that you recommend. Good luck to you and those less savvy buyers that believe your story.
Link for those less savvy buyers.

Actually I have zero vested interested but thank you for thinking that I did. Perhaps you should watch some actual reviews on screen protectors before throwing claims about how your $1 "tempered glass" protectors are the same as other ones.

DBrand...best fit and feels great...and if you thought you got a good unboxing experience with an Apple Product, the dbrand screen protector unboxing experience is UNREAL!!!

How is the coverage with this? I use to use Spigen protectors all the time until I realized that there were ones out there that covered all the way to the edge (I realize that the space is meant to accommodate various cases).

Awesome! Please report back on the installation and coverage!
hello, sorry for the delay I installed the İmos but i am very frustrated.Tried at least 5 times but the right side doesn't fit on the end I removed the protector and found out it has a defect .The seller (srworks) insists that is a installation error .I will open dispute from PayPal.

Want the best? Flolab. By far. This oleophobic coating is absolutely ridiculous. It's making me question if my fingers stopped producing oils, man. It is as edge-to-edge as possible while still allowing a case to fit. With my silicone case, you can't tell you're using a screen protector. The crazy part is during the install I kept finding a single fiber particle on the screen and so I must have placed the protector on and off about ten times, and still no bubbles or anything.

Wow that sucks! I remember in the past installing an iMOS for my iPhone 6 Plus with similar bubbles and I have to work an hr persistently, and pressed really hard. Eventually it disappeared. If you paid with a CC, you can easily file a chargeback. BTW, based on your photos, it looks very close to edge to edge. In fact I barely see any exposed screen?

Do you have any closeup photos?

I'm sorry, I really don't. I did see them posted on this thread though, or in another screen protector thread, but they are 100% on the forums. I can describe it for you as best I can...
If you take a look at your iPhone 12 or a photo of it, you can see the metal band just outside the screen. With the FloLab, I can obviously see the metal band and maybe.... I don't know man, 1/2 a millimeter of the screen? I mean... it's to the damn edge where the metal band is. And that's with me hunting and moving the phone around to actually find it as the Flolab has the black band around it. But otherwise, you can't even notice the gap between the metal band and the screen protector. It might not be 100% coverage, but it's basically 99.5%, you got me? And the shocking thing to me was the lack of fingerprints. See, I'm the type to wipe my screen basically after every time I use it. It became a habit of sorts. Use the phone for 10 minutes or so, and then wipe it with my shirt or pants or whatever. The other day I realized I had not done that since I got the phone... and I was shocked. Like... why did I stop? Then I looked at the screen, no damn fingerprints. Honestly I'm still skeptical and I'm literally like, did my fingers just change or something? lol... That's been the most impressive thing by far. I can't say good enough things about this screen protector. Ya, it's expensive, but really what has me sold is the oleophobic coating. That to me is worth it. Other screen protectors will do just as well for the most part, but damn not even Apple can match the coating on this.

I love the recommendation due to the oleophobic coating. That’s my big beef. I love the feel of a new screen protector and will change mine up every few months. Let us know how the coating holds up after a few months. Also, does their warranty cover the oleophobic coating?
