After trying ESR and Spigen, all I can say is that the Spigen's EZ FIT GLAS.tr screen protectors are the easiest to install by a mile compared to any other glass in the market. Didn't try the ESR in my 12 Pro (just returned it) but I did try the ESR on my new iPad Air and sent it back after getting bubbles galore with the two included glasses. Also the installation frame didn't fit correctly on my iPad Air. At the end, decided to run my iPad Air with no glass and only the smart folio.

I also like Spigen, but I hate the cutout they used in the past for Face ID. Have they changed that this year?

I’m getting the Shellrus one. It’s the only real sapphire one I can find.
it’s sapphire so it’s the only one that will not scratch. I don’t drop my phones so I’m not worried about impact protection (plus the claimed 4x strength this year). The only thing I care about is those scratches. All other screen protectors are glass so they scratch, but not sapphire. The only thing scratches sapphire is diamond.
No question the best protection from scratches on the planet. However aren't there supposed issues with the oleophobic coating over time??

Hey all. I’m way out of date on screen protector knowledge as I stopped using them when the phones screen became curved. I didnt like how screen protectors fit so I stopped using them. Maybe someone could educate/update me.

I know for previous phones, one option was screen protectors with a frame that (I always assumed) was necessary due to the curved edges. But now even with the new flat phone, I am still seeing edge to edge protectors that have a frame. (Like ones from FloLab.) Why is that? What is the purpose of the frame?

Is there any edge to edge screen protectors out there for the iPhone 12 that are just glass, no frame but go all the way to the edge? Any reason to think there wont be one like that at some point?

Thanks!

Yea, you're right it does seem like an ad. However, he has numerous videos (which aren't ads) that say Flolab is among one the best. I do recall him saying that he would recommend the ESR tempered glass as it seems to be decent for the low price, but if you want a superior one (for not much more) Flolab is a much better option.
ordered the flolab one to check it out, got eSR currently on it.

Can you let us know what it's like/how it fits when it arrives?

Surprised nobody has given the Otterbox Amplify a go...

Edit:
Just saw a review of it on YouTube and it's a no-go for me. The tray they include isn't designed specifically for one phone, as it sort of expands. So rather than include specific size trays for the different iPhones, they decided to save money and include one that'll fit them all. As such, you're still basically putting it on freehand, which at this price point is a major miss. Heck, with $3 screen protectors including perfectly fit trays, it's a miss at any price point.

+1 for the dbrand screen protector. Super easy install and it’s got complete coverage with the exception of the speaker cutout. No notch cutout and faceID works flawlessly.
Did you try your phone/faceID before you put on this screen protector or only after?

I bought the Tozo ones. 3 pack for 10 bucks on Amazon and it came with an install tray which is helpful. One of the pieces of glass had a defect but the other two worked out fine.

I can Only say I’ve never had that problem. I can just wipe it clean just as easily as any other screen protectors (it’s actually slightly cleaner than the other ones, but only a tiny tiny bit)

I use this Spigen tempered glass on my iPhone 11 Pro, works like a charm.

As far as I've seen, Spigen does not have this full-screen protector available for the 12. they only have one with the notch cutout. now that i know the full-screen ones exist, i can't go back!

i currently have ESR ones on and they're good, I also ordered the Flolab to try per recommendations here, as I want to try ones with the black borders since it is a bit noticeable where the ESR ends (and it's not exactly even due to my application apparently being just slightly off! ha)

Curious...

1) is it better to have the front camera cut out or not?

2) any good back protectors out there?

worst thing is you buy an expensive screen protector then you phone develops a fault and has to be taken in for repair, the first gong they do is take off the screen protector, so that's money down the drain

makes sense to get a decent budget 3 pack, like others i only use them to keep the screen pristine.

Weird. When I search Amazon for Spigen iPhone 12 screen protector that does not come up in the results and I don’t see it on Spigen’s website. 🤷‍♀️
I bought the ESR one because of recommendations here. I’ll see how it is when my phone arrives. I was going to get FloLab but with shipping it was $30 for one!
