Keep the 38 until you get the 42 and then decide. If you still like the 38, send the 42 back. If you like the 42, sell the 38 as it's too late to return it.

I am keeping the 38mm despite rude comments, I have not canceled the 42mm I ordered on the 11th that won't ship until June.

I am into horology and have many fine timepieces, I highly recommend you go with the 42mm. It's a better fit for your size wrist, and also the band despite having some left over doesn't fit correctly.

OP got thoroughly savaged in a different thread, so understandably a bit sensitive to anything questionable in this thread. I saw one VERY nasty comment in this thread that has since been deleted. Good job, mods.

Honestly it's a tough situation because the 38mm does look too small on you. I think people are trying to pursuade you towards the 42mm in the nicest of ways.

It all depends on if you want the truth or want to be told what you want to hear.

If you genuinely love the way it fits right now, it doesn't matter what other people say.

But if you have some doubt and are looking for opinions, I agree with most people that it is unfortunately, too tight for your wrist. Putting comfort aside, from a style point of view, I personally think that particular band is too small for your wrist and looks uncomfortable/awkward.

That said, I'm sure over the next several months, the 3rd party Apple Watch band market will grow considerably, so you'll likely have lots of new band options in the future that will fit your wrist much better, and you'll still get to keep the 32mm watch.

Congrats on having one in your possession! I'm really jealous... still processing and no idea when I'll get it, but in the launch window.

There were some comments removed from this thread that violated the forum rules. Unfortunately, that can leave the remaining discussion looking a little out of context in places.

Keeping the 42mm is the smart move, i think you will find it to be a much better fit once it arrives :)

P.S: Wish I had the money you have to blow on these watches lol

Honestly, they are so hard to get right now, I bet you could wear the 38 until the 42 arrives, then try both and sell whatever one you like less and probably break even or even possibly make a little. At the end of the day though, don't base your decision on random people from the internets opinion... Pick whatever one YOU like the best. It's your watch, so that's the only opinion that should matter.

OP, After seeing ALL your pics, the 38 is fine!

Being a watch is a very personal choice of that particular persons style...only YOU can determine if the 38 size reflects the look and style you're going for. Some people may prefer the bigger watch face (which seems to be the trend) and that's fine for them. Or maybe they want the bigger "smart watch look", again that's fine for them or for the look they are going for. It's very much a personal choice.

There's others that prefer a smaller more normal size watch face and that's their choice as well. You mentioned you prefer smaller jewelry...and you don't like big jewelry (42). Well, after readjusting a bit, seems the 38 fine for you.

The MAIN thing is that if it makes YOU happy and its the look that you want and it's your style it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks!!!

Enjoy your watch and whatever decision you make!! ;)

I don't have any context as to what OP is apologizing about, nor do I have time to read every post in this thread.

The watch looks to be too small for her wrist. In my opinion, that is definitely not a good look. If the OP is fine with this look, it doesn't matter what I think or what others think. If she is happy, that is all that matters

Agreed, it looks way too small, especially when looking at that picture with the camera zoomed out. I know it sucks to hear you have bought something - especially when they are ridiculously hard to get ahold of right now - and find out its not the correct type, but thats buyers remorse for you and in the future at least you know you won't make the same mistake twice.

HOWEVER, of course this is just my opinion and at the end of the day it is how you feel about it which ultimately decides on the outcome, and if you think it looks good and more importantly feels good, then go right ahead and wear it with pride. Just remember not everybody will share the same opinion as you, and you may get the odd comment from people you know who may disagree with your choice of size, its important to not get offended when this happens and to just accept the fact it is just ones opinion :) I hope you enjoy your watch, I know I am and think it is one of the best tech gadgets to hit the earth since the original iPhone :)

I would recommend the 42 for you, the band will have extra room and larger watches are in fashion, if you can pull it off. I would only recommend a 38 for people with small wrists that the watch looks big on.

I personally wish the 42 was a 44, I find the 42 a tad small.

However, I made the mistake of choosing the leather loop which has not shipped at all. I now call it the loser leather loop.

When you're someone with a bigger wrist it seems the 38 doesnt accomodate well, which is a shame really because wrist size doesnt always equal what size of watch face would suit you better. My husband chose the 38mm, he has two holes left in the strap to use.

I would agree with the majority - 42mm would give you that added length in the straps and sit much more neatly on your wrist. However, even though we are open to give that advice on the forum, at the end of the day, you are paying for it, you are weatring it, so if 38mm floats your boat, thats all good! :)

I don't know right now. The leather loop configurations are not even shipping.

you need to return it. in the long term (say over a week) it will hurt and damage your skin.. it's too tight. I would suggest the 42mm with same band?

Here is the picture you asked for. I don't really want to send this one back. I haven't canceled the other yet.

Looking at this picture, something strikes me because of the rather minimal length of band left, that may (or may NOT) matter to you. I recently noted a forum post that referred to something like "Milanese band magnets not strong enough." I didn't read that thread, since I am endlessly waiting for my 42mm SS w/ Link. However, if the magnet does "let go" the watch could be falling off in a fraction of second; more length might help slightly... No problem if it just falls to the carpet, but I am quite active including significant time on boats and docks - and I've lost a few Fitbit devices to the sea (and somewhere at Disneyland).

You clearly must have knowledge on the Magnet strength, how it feels /looks to you, and your lifestyle. Good luck in your choice(es).

[I liked the Milanese, but too dressy for my nominal lifestyle, but I may consider buying Milanese band for my more formal times]

Be careful. You wear it like that for too long and you're gonna lose your hand.

It is not tight, and it doesn't hurt. I can easily put two fingers under the band.

When you wear the band on a looser fit like your later photos I would be concerned that it might be a snatch-risk. I tried a 42 Milanese and was confident that the magnet was strong enough to avoid such concerns, but it had an inch or more travel before it would come away from the band. With the magnet close to the anchoring loop it looks like a strong snatch could make it come away?

I'd hate for you to lose your watch!
