I carry around extra wedges just so my iPhone lays flat.the amount of people disappointed that they can’t leave their iPhone flat on a table is unsettling lol. how is that *that* important to you?

tbh I'd rather my iPhone 13 mini had a significantly worse camera and no bump. Remember the iPhone 4 where you could just lay your phone flat on a table, and take perfectly acceptable photos?
As much as I would love 3 days battery life, I think the 13 Pro is plenty heavy enough as it is. Heavy enough I’m having a hard time deciding to go 14PM on my next purchase because of the weight. Why not make the rest of iPhone body the same thickness as the camera bumps, as it was done before iPhone 6? It would look sleeker and have more space for heat dissipation and a bigger battery, so everyone wins?
I have the clear Apple case for my 13 Pro, and the camera bump still sticks out. It's huge. On my 12 Pro the bump was small enough that when I put a case on the phone, it was flush.Once you put it in a case (which I always do) the camera bump sits flush with the case, so it's not an issue for me

This would be the most amazing thing ever. Back to the 4/4s design days. But if they drop the camera into the housing like that, and keep that thickness, we’d lose battery there.View attachment 2040358
And we originally thought we was getting this 😭 praying we do for iPhone 15!
Exactly. My Otterbox case protects my 13 Pro Max very well and allows it to lie flat.Once you put it in a case (which I always do) the camera bump sits flush with the case, so it's not an issue for me
The bat-signal is out. Where are you when we need you?I remember when we were young, innocent, and complaining about the iPhone 6's camera bump…

LOL maybe that's why Jony checked out entirelyI was hoping Apple would eventually get rid of that camera bump, but it seems they're going the opposite direction. That the iPhone wobbles when put on a flat surface is the only blemish of an otherwise beautiful design.
On the iPhone 12 Pro, this was quite possible. The 12 Pro Max, not so much. On the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, you need a pretty specific case to make it lie flat. Even then, they do it by putting bumpers on the other corners to make it even.Once you put it in a case (which I always do) the camera bump sits flush with the case, so it's not an issue for me
