Am I the only one who wonders if a tiny 48MP sensor is a bit pointless given that’s only marginally less than a Sony A1, which has a full frame sensor? I know they are aimed a different markets but you can’t beat physics no matter how clever you AI pixel interpolation is.

Why not make the rest of iPhone body the same thickness as the camera bumps, as it was done before iPhone 6? It would look sleeker and have more space for heat dissipation and a bigger battery, so everyone wins?
As much as I would love 3 days battery life, I think the 13 Pro is plenty heavy enough as it is. Heavy enough I’m having a hard time deciding to go 14PM on my next purchase because of the weight.

I can’t imagine the weight if they were to make the thickness the same and fill that with battery. I’m not about to start carrying a purse just to get an extra day’s battery life and a flat iPhone.

Seriously Apple I’m begging you just make the back even! Please! Just make it thicker!

I mean it’s no big deal, first world problems, I’ll still get it etc. but I miss the little suckers laying flat on tables so much 😩

I have not been exited for new apple phones since the X, they all look and feel and more or less perform the same.

I am on a iphone 11, and honestly i dont feel like i miss out on anthing newer.

Once you put it in a case (which I always do) the camera bump sits flush with the case, so it's not an issue for me
I have the clear Apple case for my 13 Pro, and the camera bump still sticks out. It's huge. On my 12 Pro the bump was small enough that when I put a case on the phone, it was flush.

Exactly. My Otterbox case protects my 13 Pro Max very well and allows it to lie flat.

Just give me more camera and we'll call it a deal. I'm planning on upgrading during the 16 pro series (up from my XR) so I can't wait to see what Apple comes up with in the meantime.

I would like to the team of morons, perhaps a little strong, that decided a bump was "functional" so the phone is unable to sit flush on a flat surface. The wobbly phone on the table just drives me up the wall. Increase the size of the case for goodness sakes. Or, reduce some of the astronomical profit, reduce the size of the sensor, lens, etc.

On the iPhone 12 Pro, this was quite possible. The 12 Pro Max, not so much. On the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, you need a pretty specific case to make it lie flat. Even then, they do it by putting bumpers on the other corners to make it even.

Do you have any idea how heavy that would be?
