I dont understand the problem for apple, this seems more to get good PR then anything else.

Of course it is, Tim/Apple are loving this, anyone with half a brain can see this is great publicity for them.
The only long term question is, it's also telling every single Crook, Pedophile, Rapist, Murderer, Terrorist, you name it..... Use Apple devices if you want to stay safe.
Question is on the other hand, does Apple really wish to be known as "THE" Safe Haven for such people?

It's a tricky one for sure.

Please do research on this. I have done much reading and homework on this very topic and vaccines are a scary thing. Please read up on the topic.
Total BS vaccines save people its that simple , its proven and working science. Does that mean there might not be side effects? Of course but well within what's reasonable .

I think that is only the case if they kill the bad guy. If the bad guys are taken alive they can still force fingerprint unlock and or compell you to give up your password.

Since when does changing your AppleID password remove the associated backups? This is BS.
They are claiming the device hasn't backed up to the cloud in a while and since the web password has changed the password on the device no longer matches therefore it won't back itself up. Assuming the dude didn't turn off iCloud backups before hand.

After all if a court decides only apple can unlock this phone and orders apple to help in this, thats a legal court order following all the procedures the US has in place. Apple can appeal but once thats done even if it doesnt like the judgement it should provide in this.

And wasnt it so that this is for an iphone 5c? And that the security measures were made stricter in newer devices that even if they provided a solution here it wouldnt mean it could be used on anything more newer?

When due process is served and if apple loses I'm sure they will comply. Until then fight it in any manner possible.

I'll bet you're basing your whole argument on the now much debunked "vaccinations cause autism."

Here's the real truth -

I don't want to get off topic. I will read the link you provided! It's a very touchy subject, one I have been going back and forth with and now I totally am against them. Again I'm speaking children here like I said in my original post. I have done my homework and this is just my opinion , not a fact.

Well said Gates. The comments on this thread are showing a sad side to the american character. Their insularity has fostered a sense of invulnerability and mis-placed confidence. They have clearly forgotten that security is not a given and costs dearly. 911 pointed the way and it must not be forgotten by any nation that those who would harm us gather strength and comfort from our indolence.

I think you need to replace the word "security" with "freedom" and reread your statement.

It hasn't removed the iCloud back ups. The iPhone 5C had not backed up to iCloud for about 3 weeks prior to the attacks. Apple have the iCloud data for the period before the three weeks prior to the attacks and have already given these to the FBI. No one knows why the phone did not continue to back itself up in the three weeks leading up to the attack. It could be that the shooter turned off iCloud backup. However what Apple were proposing to do is to force an automatic back up to iCloud by connecting the phone to a known wifi connection such as the shooters home or work wifi. If the phone had backed up Apple could simply have retrieved the missing data and handed it over to the FBI. The problem arose because the county reset the Apple ID password associated with the phone (on the instructions of the FBI). Once the password is reset. The new password must be entered into the phone before you can get it to back up to iCloud and of course they can't do that because they can't get into the phone because they don't know the pin code.

Apple will eventually forced to disclose information to FBI whether Apple like or not. I have no doubt the court will force Apple to do that. I also do believe Apple has the capability to get the information out of this guy's iPhone.

All Apple doing is playing game. Apple will playing innocent until they forced to do so. They are trying to shift the blame from Apple to FBI. Just look and see.

the techniques the fbi is asking to crack down on the 5c will work on all iohones

Anyone who thinks that Apple will not unlock that device is absolutely delusional. Apple is milking it with good PR, like they should but eventually they will still unlock it.

But we need to establish international rules and laws as well as a department that needs to govern these sort of things.

Anyone surprised?

Bill Gates is such a disappointment, now, after his retirement.

He's making more money on undereducating our children and creating another generation of fast food workers, rather than taking a hard look at reality. Who knew creating idiots could be so profitable.

I'm disappointed...

Bill Gates has his head up his ass.

Yes, but I hear the weather is awesome up there. #Hypoxia...

Yes, like death. In certain parts of the world that's a blessing isn't it. Merciful Bill, killing truckloads of of people or just maiming them. Like with HPO-vaccine ment to save the poor girls, well actually not, meant to poison them.

As everything else, it has nada to do with saving people, it has everything to do with ripping the energy and resources of the base of the pyramid and then kill them and replace.

Will be fun watching people start realising how badly they are ****ed by the criminal cabal running stuff.

Um... what? Everyone gets to be protected equally or no one is protected. They are telling everyone that their devices are a safe place to keep information. Crook, Pedophile, Rapist, Murderer, and Terrorist are simply part of everyone.
