Black vs Jet Black

Wow that always make me not love either.

Space Black now reminds me of 3GS, it did always look rather gross, smudged up, and a Plus is so much bigger.

The regular black is very nice, but I remember my iPhone 5 (still have one), and the darker aluminum did show wear more than the lighter aluminums. The pouch I kept it in, put slight markings on it, while the same pouches didn't do that to the later phones, 5S, 6 etc.

Might be different though because it's 7000 series aluminium now.

Been a beast of a metal on the 6s

They're both beautiful. I think you're one of the few who disagrees.

I'm having a terribly difficult time deciding. The Matte black is more practicle, but the jet black is just a stunner. I loved the 3GS and this is even better. Going to be a last minute decision..
 
Might be off the topic question here I'm on a no plan att if I chose att select new phone to plan and pay in full I should be good to go right shouldent mess with my no contract plan? Going matte black plus!!!
 
If it's going to be in a case anyway (even if a clear-backed case), does it matter? If clear TPU or even acrylic, wouldn't the matte black be the better choice then as well?

no you dont? just buy the unlocked version and you should be good to go.

jet black looks sexy af. just imagine whipping it out. that glossy shine emanating throughout the room. entire room stands still in awe. you use it naked for the first couple of weeks just to show it off, and then you eventually buy a clear case/skin to keep the phone like new. you realize that after a few months there will be all sorts of accessories to keep the phone clean and in mint condition.

matte black looks a bit boring. the jet black has a unibody look that is different from the rest hence why they only offer it 128GB+. my only concern now is the limited supply.

I think the jet black will look good the first time you get it out of the box but after an hour you'll regret having a big slippery mirror. I have plenty of other gloss black items like hard drives and they all look horrible now.
 
I think the difference between the iPhone 7 jet black and other glossy black electronics is the iPhone 7 is anodized aluminum whereas most of the other glossy black electronics are cheap poly carbonate which scratches easier.

I think I'm going to go matte black. I'll let everyone else be Guinea pigs with the glossy 7. If it holds up and doesn't look terrible over time and keeps it's beauty I will get it for the 8. For now though I think I'm going with the tried and true matte black.

I don't think they're not beautiful. I think after some time in real life though with the devices, we'll be brought back down to earth about them. I'm excited too!

Here's the thing though. What if the nice shiny black iPhone will be worth more in 2017 because not many people will have it?
 
Sigh...it's just a little over an hour left for the pre-orders and I still haven't made up my mind...going back and forth between the two blacks. Since I don't use any kind of case on my phone most of the time, the colour is a substantial factor for me. I am just wishing that one of the blacks won't be available for 1st day delivery, thereby making my choice easier. Ugh! But I don't think Netherlands would face that kind of rush for pre-bookings.
