Timeless beauty.

I far prefer the flat-edged design in some previous iPhones to the rounded soap bars before and after, I think the iPad Pro looks beautiful. If they refuse to make another small iPhone to replace my SE, this might at least soften the blow for me a little when I’m forced to replace it at some point. Would prefer no notch though.

I go with both of you. I think Apple should deploy 2018 iPad Pro squarish edge into today modern iPhone.

I hate flat edge iPhones. They are far more uncomfortable to hold naked versus the rounded iPhones. I feel like Apple is just doing this to make an aesthetic changes. Shame.

An iPhone 12 Pro Max with iPad Pro edges should look quite nice.

Will the iPhone 11 Pro Max (6.7") be lighter than iPhone 11 Pro Max? iPad Pro feels light for its size. A 6.7" iPhone feeling very light for its size would be...very interesting

Whatever Apple makes, make sure it is not slippery. Air Pods Pro earbuds and case are slippery. When I bought Air Pods Pro and opened the box I dropped the case and the ear buds; they slipped out of my dry Canadian winter fingers

No flat edges please. The iPhone 7 is so much more comfortable to hold than a 5/5S.
A smaller notch is welcome though!

Having hard time with face (respirator) masks + FaceID. Apple, please bring a iPhone 8 Plus sequel with latest internals, SoC, 5G and TouchID.
You.. do know that people wearing masks for COVID-19 is temporary right? They shouldn’t release a phone with TouchID just because it’s inconvenient for us to have to type in our password for the next month or two.

The HomePod already has excellent sound.

It needs to be smaller and cheaper to appeal to more people.

I don't think the problem is the footprint. Two major drawbacks: 1. Price for the sound 2. Connectivity.

1: Its too expensive for a dumb speaker, and its too bad to be a premium speaker. You get better smart speakers for was less and for the same money you get way better speakers. Apple is keeping the specs secret for a reason.

2: Its target audience is too small. Only for users of Apple Music. If you use another service you are out of luck. Kids can't listen to Spotify, Wife can't listen to her ripped CDs on the external drive. I can listen to the internet radio if I airplay, but as soon as somebody calls me or I bring the trash down it stops. I can't connect it with any kind of cable to my TV, my external hard drive full of songs, my iPod, my home sound system or anything else. No input!

The HomePod needs bigger sound, not smaller footprint. It’s already diminutive. Why not a bigger HomePod, with bigger drivers, maybe some medium range too, for same price as now?
I have a surround sound home theater stereo for when I want really big sound.... a HomePod could never replace that or do 5.1... I just want a cheap mini HomePod so I can voice control all my homekit stuff in my house and not have to yell into my living room

Why doesn’t Apple make a completely wireless HomePod so we can take it on the go? Only then may I be interested.

A smaller HomePod is fine, but I hope they keep and update the current one as well. I’m quite pleased with the size and the sound.

My primary Music input is streaming SiriusXM from my iPad, and it's way too much bass. I'm no audiophile, but my dog freaks out with every overly strong bass thump, thinking the home is being attacked. I wish I could change audio settings for music besides Apple Music. I wanted to like Apple Music, but it's a mess. I would like different Apps that give me access to my music (call it iPod again) and Streaming. They try to do too much with the Apple Music App, and it's annoying. Plus, SiriusXM has several nearly perfect stations. I really wish I could natively run that on my HomePods

So, no new Ipad pros this year? I have the first iPad Pro, the 9.7” and want to replace it but as a former owner of an IPad 3, I‘m afraid of pulling the plug, don’t want to be feel that awful sensation again.

as suspected, it'll have a notch. I can wait for next year. I won't pay for another notch, even though it's not a deal breaker, I'd still rather not pay 1000 plus bucks for another notch phone that often gets in the way of movies.
I think you're looking at it wrong, the notch gives you MORE screen, which is great for all the times you are not watching a movie. If you don't want your movie cutoff by the notch and rounded corners, you can double-tap the screen. This will give you the exact same viewing experience as a phone with no notch and no rounded corners.

The HomePod has crap sound, it might be better than some of the competitors in the smart speaker category but sounds exactly like what it is, some very small drivers that have to push through a plastic casing, neither of those those are conducive to good sound.

If they made one with less but bigger drivers and made them open it would sound miles better.

Could be a year away, maybe more who knows. The average release cycle is 16 months. With the current release only a couple weeks old, it’s probably too soon to have reliable rumors.
