Im still mad that you can't have airplane mode and blutooth. I always use my bluetooth headphones on the plane.

on ios 11 it was indicated that if you have airplane more on you can't also have bluetooth on.. is this not true/What are you talking about? I just flew last week and used airplane mode and Bluetooth.
No, it’s not. I think you do have to go into the actual settings to turn it back on though. Either way, it IS possible to use Bluetooth in airplane mode.on ios 11 it was indicated that if you have airplane more on you can't also have bluetooth on.. is this not true/
Don't think Control Center was around for 10 years.Well that's certainly more intuitive- especially after 10 YEARS of it meaning off.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Someone reached and pulled that straight out of their ass.
I welcome this feature because how many times have you turned your WIFI off because of a slow connection and then forget to turn it back on for days.
You win iPhone comment of the decade. The original iPhone famously came without a manual as everything was so obvious. That time is over.
Seems quite late for that. I know people who wake up at 4 AM on a regular basis. I think the earliest I've ever needed to be up was 2 AM to catch a flight. Seems somewhere between 2 and 4 would work better for that purpose.

I turn the WiFi off all the time - the phone tries to jump between Cellular and WiFi all the time, dropping calls in the flux.An incredible zero times.
No kidding. My and my wife’s battery stinks since putting 11 on our iPhones. 6 and 6 plus. Her 6 is about crapped out so she will be getting a new 8 plus so hopefully for her battery life will be better. Now I understand why the battery goes down fast...![]()
Because "its 5:00 somewhere" as the song goesWhere did this 5am thing come from? How did they decided on 5am?
I thought it said it would stop any further connections?Right, because every time I walk out of the house and into the subway or want to save battery life because I only ever use Bluetooth to open the office door, I really just meant to disconnect from what I'm already connected to.
Now I have to dig 6 taps deep into settings to do something I do a dozen times every day. Thanks, Apple. Major improvement to user experience there.
There is one. 3D touch the settings icon and select WIFI or Bluetooth. Turn off. YWThis annoys me. Add a 3D touch option to turn it off. Thanks.
Other than they still CAN turn it off. So this is a new addition/feature to BT and wifi that didn't exist previously. People making mountains out of mole hills here because something new was added in addition to the old feature. Geez.99% of the times I turn off WiFi it's because I'm associated with some weak-arsed crap network that isn't passing any data, and it's a temporary condition.
I for one welcome this change.
I realize other people have different reasons for turning off WiFi, though, so can understand folks being upset.
So true... Yesterday, had to google to find out why my screen was dimming after awhile... settings buried in Accessibility...The original iPhone famously came without a manual as everything was so obvious. That time is over.
Again, why open control panel then 3D touch the BT/WIFI panel when you can simply 3D touch the settings icon and accomplish what you want?it is a good feature, BUT apple needs to add 3d touch to these...so when you 3d touch on them to turn them completely off when you the user want..thats all
Apple has confirmed that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are not fully disabled when toggled off in Control Center on iOS 11.

Even when toggled off in Control Center on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 11 and later, a new support document says Bluetooth and Wi-Fi will continue to be available for AirDrop, AirPlay, Apple Pencil, Apple Watch, Location Services, and Continuity features like Handoff and Instant Hotspot.
Toggling off Bluetooth or Wi-Fi in Control Center only disconnects accessories now, rather than disabling connectivity entirely.

BT 4.x does not cause any noticeable battery drain by being on so you can stop worrying about that. Its a non-issue these days. For Wifi, I suspect this was at least partially done to combat the problem so brilliantly described in this xkcd:

That is, you are on a bad one-bar wifi connection that stops loading anything and you turn off wifi to get going again, but then you forget to turn it back on. This is the main reason I ever turn off wifi nowadays, so I can see the use of this. BUT it should have been made optional with a force-touch press and not the default press in CC.
For Bluetooth I never want this. When I turn it off Bluetooth it's because I'm trying to save power, period.

he he he. Hey Siri, please turn off BT. Works for me.Hey Siri, Turn off WiFi. Boom! You’re done.
