You'll see the spinny white icon when it autosaves, otherwise it's not that hard to quit every time you finish just to be sure.
So far I'm a lvl 17 soldier. Close to 18. Been playing a lot of co-op.
I'll have to look for that icon. I do see it when you quit back to the menu and it specifically tells you not to turn off your console. Then when you come into the game I'm finding the extra person always has to load their character back in instead of the default "new character".
I am up to L17 playing coop too. As you get acclimated if gets better. We went into a cave looking for crystals and it was one heck of a fight getting from one end to the other! Mucho fun! I'm wondering when you do coop, have you effectively made the game easier or could it be throwing more mobs at you?
One thing I'm still trying to nail down, are the classes, but my initial impression is that you can use any weapon in the game. Therefore my hunter coop partner can use any gun he wants. This is contrary how I imagined normal classes limitations and available weaponry. And it does reduce the importance of picking a class imo, maybe a negative. And I who have an infinity for sniper rifles in the right circumstances, really appreciates having one as a soldier. I've got a 164 damage fire sniper rifle that is sweet and while most mobs don't fall with a single head shot, some do, taking their heads clean off, OowYah!
I'm gonna check out the brute or whatever he is called, the big strong guy and see what limits he has with weapons if any. Honestly if he can use any weapon, as the most heavily natural armored class, is there any real reason to play anything else? I do admit the soldiers turret is very nice. The hunter's boodwing pet is handy too.
I've not played a Siren yet, but I'm wondering how helpfull is "phasewalking" . It looks like you can sneak, but in many occasions, the goal is to fight and get xp, although I could imagine situations as a solo player where you might want to sneak through some areas, but it is such a brief effect with a cooldown, I don't know how practical it would be.
