When you get shot at as much as I have, nothing really feels bad in comparison. Keep trying though.
Just ignore all these people criticizing you. They aren't worth your time, but then, you have a whole week there. So maybe you should troll them a bit more to have some fun while you're at it
maybe he isn't working atm, or this week/this month due to his health problems, he said he works his own hours which suggests its based around when he can, he said he was doing this whole thing as he wasn't working, to me 'not working' could apply to the present, the guy has said he works and he has said he is paying for it with his own money, not any benefits, he has defended himself against what you and others keep accusing him of, he seems like a nice guy, is it too hard to just leave him be?
As a middle aged person who gets cold, I'll be in my line at Arden Fair in Sacramento with my $8 backpack lawn chair I bought at OSH last weekend and a sweatshirt and maybe even a blanket! In the 70's we took sleeping bags, but don't think I'll need one this time. Starbucks opens at 5:30 right at the entrance so I hope I meet nice people in front and back of me in line so we can do runs for lattes and the potty! My 26 year old daughter thinks I'm nuts, but once in a while being excited and having GREAT anticipation is good for the soul. I'm not bringing laptop, etc, too heavy and might invite some undesirables to think that the line is a great place to get a free 
device. My 3G iPhone will have to suffice with the Brookstone battery booster all charged up too! Have an awesome time everyone!!!!

While I don't know his situation, I do know that living as a person with a disability in the USA is a lot harder than it sounds. There is a reason more than half of us do not have jobs and have to work under the table away from the governments eyes.

Come on, really? If someone tells you point-blank, "I do not work due to the fact I am disabled with a seizure disorder," you assume that's it's just a temporary break from a real job? He said it to bring attention to something that never needed to be mentioned. He even admitted using his disability as "protect[ion]." How sad. On both sides.

No, it's cold and unfeeling to make the vast amount of hateful pointed attacks at this man and myself (and probably others) on the forum and then to espouse that you're hardened from being shot as the reason you can repel any attacks on you.
You're just making yourself look worse, why don't you just drop it? You're starting to play the pitty card worse than the OP ever did.

MacRumors in general is full of haters. This guy is doing something he wants to do and he's not hurting anyone, so more power to him.
He was making a joke and someone turned it into a death wish. How does that constitute playing the "pitty" card?
Reality Check. If we didn't actually go to war, we would save BILLIONS of dollars, and still have a military that would dissuade all other powers.
You missed this important part : IN MY AND OTHER'S OPINION. I wasn't making a claim or stating facts, just saying that IN MY AND OTHER'S OPINION, this has disability fraud potential written all over it.
I stated the facts we know, then stated my opinion on them.
That works both ways, for one. People saying "He might really be disabled" are as guilty of this as people questionning it.
Next up is the assertion part. No one has stated facts. This is all OPINION.
He brought up the fact that he served in Afghanistan well before anyone made a death wish. And to be honest, he has been acting like a jerk in nearly every thread I have seen him post in, its like he just comes here to rip on others to make himself feel good.
For what its worth, the back window of my car says "Support our troops!" so I am in no way against his service. I think this guy is just acting like a total jerk and deserves whatever people start throwing back at him. He could have put an end to this a long time ago but had to keep running his mouth.

Nah, I could do that before going overseas. It's not hard. And if the guy waiting in line is anything like me, he won't give a rat's arse what anyone here is saying, which is good for him. Doesn't change the fact I think he's an idiot for doing it. But its his right to be an idiot. People that used this to turn it into some stupid disability/taxes etc thing need to get a grip. But then again, that's also something else I unfortunately fought for - the right for Americans to continue this idiotic Right Wing vs Left Wing fight that gets no one anywhere...except for making the ******s on Fox News and MSNBC rich.
You weren't the first person to fight for this country, and you won't be the last. You don't get to decide what you are and are not fighting for, the idiots in both parties will continue to fight and life will go on. This has been happening since day 1 and will never end, it is a fact of life.

its not like he said, i don't have a job at all, people are seeing what they want to see, personally I didn't know which he meant or if he did or didn't work, as far as I was concerned I thought he meant he couldn't work at this time, and when he made the effort to tell people he did in fact work but on his own hours and that he was paying for the iPhone with his own money that he had saved, not with his benefits, I think my assumption proved correct, of course I didn't automatically decide he was innocent of all accusations untill it was known, but I didn't jump to a conclusion like a lot of people have.
and originally he mentioned being disabled and not working when he was asked why and how he was spending a week camping outside the store, in that case I think it could just be a honest answer to a question, he isn't working for at least a week, he hasn't had a vacation (maybe its not something he does often) and he decides to do this, fair enough I think.
I never wished him dead. I just said "too bad you made it back". I don't go to church and yes, I already have a table reserved in hell in the VIP section. So don't worry about me.
Oh and I have and always will support our troops. However, I don't support stupidity and ignorance.
Semantics. "Too bad you made it back" = "It's a shame you're still alive" = "It'd be better if you were dead right now." He may be a jerk, but he doesn't even come close to you.
On another note, why does everyone say that they "support the troops" as if it absolves them of any wrongdoing? It's such a cliche thing to say.
