Edit: WTF? Still no Canada?, Cropped by request

Notice that Germany is the only European country to have its store named in its own language?

Please stop posting huge screenshot of the iTMS country selection screen. Every freaking time I reload I think that's it ... the store has opened!

;)

Well, technically speaking "France" is also listed in its country's language ...and UK too, of course! ;)

Yes, you're right. I'm only arguing about the dictionnary definition of stealing. But that's because people keep saying copying music is stealing when in fact it's not: it's piracy.

And as I said in my post (if you'd bother reading it all before sending an angry response), both theft and piracy are illegal, immoral and remove compensation for people's works.

Just trying to point out the difference between theft and piracy.

sorry if i came off a little strong, everything was pissing me off including the fact that itms hadn't opened up yet. I was just complaining in general about the thread stealing of this topic and it just happened that your post was the last one that i came to thats all. I also just noticed that the four letter word i used could have been conceived by some as the f-bomb it was actually the s**t version.

anyways i'll go back to desperately trying to find some mysterious back door that will let me into the canada store.

I think it's getting closer.

Clicking "Browse" on "not availabe yet" screen at least allows me to browse US store now.

Sweet Canadian Capuchins! Hmmm...and I see some Bob McKenzie and some Anne Murray in there. Seriously! But I guess they could have been in there before...

was always like that... :(

Not so here... for the past couple of days I've clicked on Browse and just get the Infinite Loop (pun not intended, kinda ;)). Even now, I still get stuck in the loop!!!

Right now

Obviously something's going on over at Apple with regard to iTunes. They haven't updated any of the apple.com/itunes (like apple.com/uk/itunes) pages yet. I'm thinking something fell through suddenly with the Sony people just today and they're trying to patch it all up before 12am PDT. We'll see, but if not tonight, then almost definitely tomorrow.

BTW I'm not from Canada, but I'd like to see Apple keep its promise

Missing Interface Elements...

Will the "Choose Store" menu be gone for ever and we will be stuck with the (Possibly dysfunctional) single entry point for every one? See pictures below to see the missing menu that was quite useful while it lasted...

The single entry point struck me as a bad idea (was it a week ago?) when the endless loop started, locking out most of the non iTMS endowed countries, but the bad interface seems to add insult to injury (trying out that phrase for effect).

The "Choose Store" menu used to be on all main iTMS pages :

I agree, until iTMS starts behaving a little less weirdly, there's no need to give up hope.

Wait what are you talking about? That menu has always been there and has always only been on the main page, and it still is there...

futureshop is involved in their own music store venture

i dont think they will be selling Itunes stuff any time soon

I was thinking about this as well. Future Shop is in the unique position of selling both music players and downloadable music (via a storefront for PureTracks' Windows-only download service).

With the sheer popularity of the iPod at this time of year, there is a bit of a conflict there. They surely want to sell lots of iPods, but their downloads are not compatible with the iPod.

its not going to happen tonight, its just too late. :(
maybe tomorrow morning, after all this is steve jobs, and he can add an extra day to a month if he wants! ;)
