So, they may have missed the deadline, but I reckon they wont tell you guys to wait till mwsf. I reckon you'll get it in the next few hours.

I'm not sure it matters at this stage. They said they'd deliver in November and they lied. A multi-billion dollar company made a commitment (a month ago!) and failed to deliver. This is poor PR no matter how you try to spin it.

I'm pissed because I was hoping to spend $100 or more on gift certificates for my family. If they launch in January (the latest rumour) it will be exactly as ruinously stupid as their botched iMac launch that missed the back-to-school period this past summer. Honest to god, I think Apple must be stocked with genius engineers and moron marketeers. I had to wait *8 months* to buy my girlfriend a mini iPod in Canada. I really hope a flotilla of clueless MBA-types lost their jobs over the mini iPod fiasco, and I hope a further flotilla of MBA-types are sweating through the night worrying about their jobs after they went public with a launch date that turns out to be full of ****.

One of the leading tech companies in the world can't organize a launch date in a minor market? Pathetic. Truly pathetic.

well, all European stores seem to be off-line... apple.com and apple.ca aren't. I guess this means that iTMS IE will be launched today.

It is weird that the stores are off-line on a Wednesday morning, but I don't think they have to take the stores down to launch iTMS IE.

Well, they're certainly not going to launch new products today - otherwise all stores'd be offline. This has to be something EU/Europe-specific.

hahhaa...

no iTMS for us....

sux...

I feel like I wanna break soemthing...

(or burn something)...

hahahaaaaaaaaa

My question is, why would apple leave negotiations so late? This is exactly what they did with the UK Store..(hence no indies at the start)/

Hofstadter's Law I guess. It takes longer than you expect, even after allowing for Hofstadter's Law. ;)

Finally?

Hey, my flags page changed:

had it on the highest Canadian authoRIty thAt

i was directly told by a Canadian authoRIty thAt the itunes launCh would occuR at 10:00 at night on tuesday - no time zone given though. I know thAt this sounds very suspeCt as it is my first eveR post to these boards (I hAve lurked on and off for years) but that is why i am posting. it's the first time that i have aCtually had info woRth posting (of the Insider kind). the truth is, i even delAyed posting anything in advanCe of the 10pm time because i was so suRe that It wAs true and the Canadian authoRIty thAt told me definitely was direCtly involved in the negotiations, but i, because i am a cowaRd, wanted to avoId being identified, As i am still doing now. the only possibility is that last minute details Couldn't get hammeRed out and now perhaps both sIdes Are sCRewed In some wAys.

Hmm, let's see if all those misplaced caps spell out a code:

CRIACRIACRIACRIACRIACRIACRIACRIA

CRIA ad naseum, perhaps?

I'd save that iTMS money and spend it on a new keyboard if I were you. You seem to have some problems with your shift key.

It's funny, I feel like we're a bunch of people waiting in line for one of the brick & mortar Apple stores to open....except, it seems that Apple has decided not to open this store after all.

Hey...um...I'm sorry that iTunes Canada store isn't working yet...but I have an idea if you're in Canada...post your credit card numbers here in the forum, and a list of songs you want me to download, and uh...I'll gladly download them for you from the U.S. store...and email them to you. :)

uh...by the way...just kidding.
