Poor Canadians. Sorry guys. It's still 12:30 on the Vancouver side of Canada ... a few hours left for an announcement? :)

If there's no announcement today, here's to the creation of a November 31, and here's to the creation of iTMS Canada on November 31! ;)

Usually at most by 10am eastern. That time has long gone.

Well, usually 10am pacific, but that time has long gone too.

If I remember correctly, didn't the iTMS "Europe" come out at 1:00pm, which could still come?

Everyone - calm down

The store will open today, all.
It might be late in the day and it might only still be November on the West Coast, but it will happen.
And as long as that happens, Apple is still golden, in my books. :)

I think that something as big as the iTMS would warrant an announcement from Apple if it was not going to be release in November like they have stated.

If iTMS does or does not come today I am indifferent (although would be nice), but it would be in poor taste for Apple to not at least make a statement in regards to iTMS Canada.

My 2 cents....

Apple will anounce...

iTMS Canada available on January 1, 2005. But hey, they will announce this today. So, they will meet their promise

Just my guess.....

I just got an e-mail from Mr. Basskin:

"Thanks for your interest. Apple has announced, repeatedly, that iTMS will
launch in Canada this month. I'm not in a position to comment further.

Who knows.... sounds positive??

... then we would have known it was fake. That's the way it's labeled -- because the German store is actually in German!

Really, I live in Germany, and hadn't noticed it ... ;)

actually, it looks bad that they didn't translated the spanish store...

it should say España and austria : Österreich ... but hey, Steve promised an european store, and the Españoles have a lot of music I want to buy but can't ...

Reading between the lines... ",repeatedly" "not in a position to comment further." I'd say launch is a no-go.

Kind of reads: "Don't blame me, blame Apple"

Congrats Dave for the restraint shown for once.

? Midnight launch....

I'm pretty sure that an iTunes update is required to launch a new store. It happened with iTunes 4.7 whose release notes say compatability for Euro zone stores.

I remember that the new iTunes was available for download some time in the late afternoon/night so I'm predicting that it will be launched between 6 and 9pm (EST) if it is to be launched today.

The entrance loop has been going on for a week now, I sure hope they do launch iTMS Canada today so that the rest of the world can at least browse the other stores.

To me it sounds more like "Hey, it wasn't me/us who promised it this month, so don't jump down my throat, and leave me alone to read these other tens of thousands of emails, for cryin' out sideways."

At this stage I just hope they put the store back to the way it was. This forum has wrecked my head.
