I am getting the plus mainly for the camera and second for the ram. Give me the ram and the camera on the 7 and I am buying. I don't care for the size but I need a better camera. That is my only camara and I want the best I can get.

I've had the 6 and 6s regular, but I'm pretty convinced that I'm getting the 7+
Main reason is screen size. I think I can adapt to the larger phone size.

I have had the 6+ for the past 2 years so I think I'll be getting the 7+. I've gotten used to this phone and it's a decent size for me without getting intrusive. I do wish they didn't skimp so hard on the features of the standard 4.7 model though. I understand however that the plus needed features worthy of a "plus" designation....so that's what I'll be getting

Just how significantly better is the iPhone 7 4.7" over the SE?
I was surprised when apple put the A9 in the SE over the A8...as far as performance goes, the 7 over the SE is same as 7 over 6s as both 6s & SE use the same tech., minus 3D touch (taptic engine) and the faster touch ID. The 7 also has better cameras and water resistance.

I completely disagree. I think we should have screen size choices...that these devices should have the same features except one has a 5.5" screen the other 4.7", that would be real consumer choice. Instead they give us the "bigger is better" marketing bull sheet.

Oh, I agree. I never said it wasn't a bloated marketing scheme that Apple is using to sell the plus lol

I had the 6 and I currently have the 6S, however I'm upgrading to the 7+ primarily for the camera. However, I'm really excited about the better battery life, screen size and quality, OIS (even though that is now apart of the 7 camera), and increased RAM!
Edit:
Still trying to figure out how I'll adapt to all of those 1 handed phone usage situations now that I have the plus.

Ha! I was hoping no one would follow up. I STILL DON'T KNOW! Everyone in the thread brought up great points. Camera and battery life are not of great importance to me.

Bigscotal's comments speak to me, specifically "nuisance size-wise". That's what I can't get past.

I think I'm going to stick with standard 7.

Well, I held true to my gut feeling and ordered a normal 7, (Matt Black 128GB) this morning, for in-store collection on the 16th. :)

What about you, did you make up your mind?

I think I've decided the 7. Now considering matte black or silver.

I stuck with my plan as well. Black, 128gb, regular 7. I did have a moment of hesitation when I considered the 256gig model. But then I realized I've had no problems managing my 64gig iPhone 6.

Size wise the Plus is obnoxiously big. I loved the battery and screen like most do, but I hated the obvious inconvenience of its size.

The regular 4.7" really is the perfect size phone for most purposes.

All that said, they always make the Plus just juicy enough to make it worth considering over the smaller option.

If they'd only find a way to cut down those ridiculous bezels on the Plus!

Can someone confirm that the 7 has the same camera as that on the 7 Plus? As in they both have that wide-angle lens? Sorry if it's been discussed already.

I really don't understand the pocket situation. I have very tight pants that i wear and never had an issue. All my gym clothes pockets aren't an issue. I can fit an iPad mini in most of my gym pockets...
The + isn't that big and takes a week to get used to. I wouldn't even mind it if it was a 5.7-6" screen now. I use my phone one handed all the time and I've been case less for two years.
i jumped from the 5 to a 6+ for the last two years. Just pre ordered a 7+. Better camera was my main reason to upgrade. 3gig of ram, better battery. no brainer to me

Same camera. Watch the keynote video.
same just minus the zoom camera and extra features they will be adding to the software for the +. Don't forget that its open to developers. The camera in the plus will be a big big deal

My eyes are spoiled with the +. I don't think I can can go back to smaller screen of the 4.7" despite how good it feels in hand. Besides that you get longer battery life, better screen (1080p) and superior camera.

Same here. I can carry my phone in a purse since I'm female. However I'm contemplating getting a 7 this time so I can keep it in my pocket at work. I've had the 6 plus for 2 years now so I'm not sure if I can go back to a smaller screen. I was thinking of keeping my plus and getting the 7 256mb. However I also need a new iPad mini since mine is only 16mb.

Decisions, decisions

get both, try both, keep the one you are most comfortable with and scalp the other one for twice the price. life is good.

I thought about that. But I doubt I could sell the plus or the regular for full price I paid.

7 Plus has bigger battery, better screen, more RAM, better camera and depth of focus (Bokehlicious) program. It's worth the $100 and change extra. I've been carrying a 6 Plus for two years now. I adapted and it's worth it. My .02
i have the plus as well and can't imagine going down in size...so i ordered the 7plus as well. 128gb gold. I have been sticking with the gold since the 6...gold macbook,iPad and iPhone...i may even get the gold watch as i have the sport gray currently. lol

I think the 7 is a great size, but I've had the 6 for 2 years now, and I'm bored with it. They didn't do much this iteration to spice things up outside of new colors, so I preordered a 7 plus in black. Hopefully the size difference will keep me occupied and entertained until the next iteration.

I ended up going smaller. OIS now being on the regular model is what pushed me over. I just don't felt the need to sacrifice pocket space just to have two lenses and a feature that I can live without.

I'm more just thinking "Jeez, what size pockets does he have if he can fit an iPad mini in there!" lol! :p

(No offense meant BTW...)
i can show you a few pics of all the nike shorts i have that the mini slides perfectly into haha. also fits in my back pocket of most my jeans(sticks out the top of course).
