Carphone Warehouse UK iPhone X Order Updates.

As the clock hit 12 full payment was taken by CPW. Now I really do expect CPW to honour delivery on the 3rd because Apple and many other retailers don’t debit funds till goods are enroute to customer.
Will be mighty Pee’d off if they are messing.
 
Pretty sure funds left my account on the Friday when I ordered, 256 silver. Could depend on people’s banks though, not sure how much this plays a part in deliver times, I don’t think CPW Work like Apple in the way that they take money when shipping
 
As usual third party retailers being unreliable and changing dates. Good that some of you have still placed an order with Apple. I know some people cancelled their Apple orders because they were confident about CPW delivering their order on the 3rd!

Only Apple can give a true estimate, other retailers always give you fake dates and estimates to lure you in and then backtrack later.

Will not cancel either order until one arrives! Although even when one arrives I won’t cancel the other straight away as no doubt the first to arrive would end up being faulty, and I doubt returning and swapping would be possible seeing as there’s no stock anywhere!
 
Still have my 13th-20th order with apple as well which I shall be keep going, will have to see what CPW will do at the end of the week!

I was chargued the same day for both my CPW preorders. So they don’t wait for dispatch.
 
Took payment for mine around an hour or so after I ordered. That’s why I cancelled my Apple order - didn’t have another £1149 to spare in case they charged too.

Problem is, kind of have to go with CPW now - no matter what date they give, as ordering anywhere else will result in an even longer wait. Plus I’d imagine getting them to refund will be a hassle.

Part of me thinks they knew this and that’s why they kept giving out the 3rd as a delivery date, despite not knowing whether they could deliver on that date.

How I wish I’d stuck to Apple...
 
I ordered mine in store on Sunday 29th for delivery to my house on Friday 3rd. iPhone X 64GB Silver. Obviously paid in full at the point of sale and the system provided him with a delivery date of 3rd when I watched him process it through the till and book the DPD delivery. Got an A4 flyer as well with the delivery date on too.

I did warn you these fraudsters just wanted to take as much money as possible to get interest off. They do refunds within 1-2 weeks lol. Says it all.
 
Ordered midday last Friday for in store collection this Friday. Money taken out of account on Saturday. Does this mean the 3rd looking likely?
 
We simply don’t know what’s going to happen. CPW might deliver on time but I have been subject to this sort of thing many times before - where a company takes payment for a product they don’t have/won’t have for a time - in the hope you don’t cancel and they make a sale in the end!
 
I asked on web chat yesterday if my space gray 64gb will be here on the third and they said it should be, I hope so anyway, they took my money
 
Just checked my bank, and they took full payment on Friday..

Does anyone know if Apple will have stock for people without reservations?
