I tried 12.11. Doesn’t fix Jeep not showing CarPlay screen. God damn this sucks. Worst part is it did work on the older version :(. Feels like Apple now with updates breaking ****

Hi guys, I'm new here but also have a carplay2air and today updated at 2019.12.11.1536, for now all works without problems... just one strange thing, when i have updated the firmware by the 192.168.50.2 page i see the 100% completed and show me "update failed" but really the firmware was updated and all works.

Log in later and see if the failed goes, it did that in one of my earlier build installs.

Does anyone remember the old movie “The Net” with Sandra Bullock? This reminding me of it. Clearly the new firmware works great.

After updating with the new firmware what is the first thing to do after plugging in the CarLinkIt dongle? Updated with new firmware and got 2 leds, red and blue as indicated after a few mins to be successful.

Nothing comes up for CarPlay icon, so do you do a Bluetooth search first and then connect to WiFi?

I’ve plugged in dongle and have a red led....can’t see any Bluetooth or WiFi for the dongle

That’s exactly what is now happening in my Jeep. Before it didn’t do that. The phone and Jeep are actually connected to CarPlay. But the screen interface is messed up

At the moment its check twice a day. I think switching from the img update to the over the air model has been a challenge for them

I updated mine for 30 min ago to 2019.12.11.2032.
Bug fix was improving connection speed. The speed is very fast now.
The update removed music information to cockpilot screen.

Well. After update. Still fail on the Jeep. Connects to CarPlay. But interface still doesn’t show CarPlay but instead pixelated connecting screen.

The Apple CarPlay screen is an h264 stream from the phone so it’s just a case of figuring that out on the head unit which at 2 firmwares per day sounds like they are really trying. I’m so confident I’ve ordered another one for the Ibiza that isn’t working yet.

Well again what’s mind boggling is the OLD 11.11 firmware worked perfectly for my Jeep. It’s until this abortion update that screwed me
