CarPlay CarPlay adapter to convert to wireless CarPlay?

Sadly I just tested all the versions from the link you posted and still - nothing.
red led - headunit gahtering no connection - wifi named autobox 🙁

I bet the carlinkit will not help, but lets see.

Sorry it's still not working. When flashing via USB do you get the alternating red green lights, followed by a solid red light?

You (and @Giovanni Valdes) may want to send a screenshot showing the "autobox" wifi name and maybe shoot a short video showing the process of starting your vehicle and the LED behavior on the adapter. Make sure you explain that this happened after flashing 09.18. Hopefully they will come up with a solution for you since this seems to be their error.

Good luck! The firmware situation for these adapters is ridiculous. Carlinkit really needs to design their firmware such that it can be reverted.

Palisade SEL with base AV unit an Carlinkit original wired USB version. Still on OTA 8/4 now that I am using alot of apple/Amazon music with waze navigation I am noticing alot of spontaneous reboots. Think I am going to need move up or back firmware wise.

Tried manual update from 8/4 to 9/17 Carlinkit original usb, blinks red and blue then solid red but when return it to car still on 8/4 ota roll back. Also ordered USBC version I have suspicion that all things being equal the older version has trouble doing too many things at once.

you have to flash each version one by one otherwise it wont flash. that way you can get to newest 9.17fw. it doesnt change the fact that the waze + music issue is still present in the newest FW

each time when flashed my carlinkit shows the autobox wifi but when connected to car it changes to the correct wifi name and starts working. i have flashed all the fw one by one from 08.04 to newest 09.17

do I understand right: I have to flash from 08.04 to 09.17 without plugging into my car and when I have finished with 09.17 it should work and I can connect it?

Ahh Well there are some versions I would probably want to skip, LOL. When mine crashes it resets itself. Basically the screen on AV freezes music/waze stops and then about a minute later music comes back on its own usually and I have to navigate back to waze.

**** Do you have USBc version or Original hard Wired carlinkit??

I did send logs in for fun but nothing else to contact carlinkit. I only use Waze over Google or Apple maps for all the "police" related warnings. All the others pretty equal now on directions and traffic....

**** Do you get the same spontaneous reboot with other Nav software Apple/Google?

I have a GM truck, the only firmware that worked for me without issues using both Waze/Google maps and music simultaneously is 8-4, you may want to give that a try if you haven't. I have also set the media delay settings to 2000, not sure if these settings actually work, but for what it's worth.

i have the standard USB version. version 9.17 doesnt crash as often as the previous versions but i do get the spontaneous crash and reset. also sometimes it boots in to black screen or gets stuck during carplay bootup

the 8.04 wasnt usable in my case. that why i have tried every single fw after that one. best so far is 9.17 but still not perfect

I meant to say 8-10 not 8-4. When I first installed 8-10 it stuttered a bit the first time I tried it, but it was smooth thereafter. Yesterday I have used it for a two hour round trip with both Waze and YouTube music and was perfect. I understand that this dongle behaves differently in different vehicles. Who knows, there's a good chance it might start acting up again the next time I use it.
 
Thanks both i have my original and now received USB-C one to test today. Also contacted Hyundai for fun to see whether my 2020 Palisade can be retrofitted with 2021 OEM wirelss carplay. Ill play with the new one since I can return it if i nuke. I was a little paranoid that some of the re-posted firmware was autobox or other non wired to wireless carplay firmware.

As another Palisade owner I'm very interested to hear your results. Particularly about the 2021 head unit upgrade!

Well new USB-C offered a 9-5 OTA update which went through and said successful but when it started back up it was on 8-4 OTA and said its the latest. Looks like there sticking with 8/4 for now presume it was 1602 version roll back posted on 9/4?
