Unfortunately same with my 2016 Mazda 6. Waiting for the next release...
What make it more frustrating is that I tried the Carlinkit in my wife’s VW Tiguan (even before the latest release) and it works great.
sighhh losing my sht with this. I have a 2018 Subuaru CrossTrek and I can't get the display unit to even do the initial popup with the bluetooth name. i plug it in and it just sits there. I have the Carlinkit 2.0 and i believe it has the most current firmware. Any thoughts?

I updated my CPlay2Air to the latest version offered 2021.01.08. Still not working at all for Acura TLX 2021. No pop-up screen for Bluetooth pairing and manually connected to the WiFi on the device doesn't give you much but the ability to update the firmware and change the settings. Tried Compatibility too, no luck.
Lots of posts saying that the new firmware doesn't work for them.

2021-01-08 is showing OTA for me. Release notes just say “improve compatibility”. Not sure now exact FW I’m on, think maybe the Oct ‘20 one.
Mine is working ok now, after more than 18 months of not working ok at all.
Do people in general update, or only if it doesn’t work, or some feature doesn’t work?
Nervous to try tbh as it connects every time apart from sometimes having to press “projection” icon on my touch screen and then connects fine.

My cplay2air work with 2020.12.10 update, this one didnt work in skoda scala 2021-01-08. I am still waing for the mice to be working. Can you tell difference between 2021.01.21 and the 2020.12.10? I have set delaey for 5 sec. It takes for my car around 45 seconds to completle connect.
Your right, but it’s the itch of an update!?!
Has this one got the more menu options in? Suppose it won’t have any new features as such, and if CarPlay works then mine probably doesn’t need update.
Just wonder how many people do updates when it’s already working.
Updated yesterday to the U2W_Update_2021.01.08.1658 image, and after updating my iPhone to iOS 14.4. Like others, I am still having the 30 second Carlinkit reboots on my 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata (with the older Mazda Connect system).
Updated to 2021.01.08.1658. Works fine but I’m see non-English in all the splash screens. Don’t see anywhere to be able to change the language. For now I’ve downgraded. Any ideas?
