Guys, I wnated to ask. Do you have carlinkit with built-in microphone? Does it work? I am using cplay2air but it doesnt have built-in mic and it is not able to connect to mic in my car :-/

The Carlinkit adapter does not have a built-in microphone. Carplay normally uses the car's microphone.

thats the issue. When I am using this dongle it just wont work and mic is “muted” when I use wire mic works. I have Skoda Scala 2019

Ok still have the problem. I’m on FU2. If the next update from Carlinkit does not solve the problem, I will contact the support.
Today, 5 starts of my cars, 5 times the Carplay was displaying 5-10 seconds and then the MBUX did lost it. I noticed the dongle was still blinking with the green led and iPhone was still connected as if in Carplay. I still have access to settings using the 192.168.50.2 address. I don’t know if it’s the same kind of error for Mazda.
But I hope the next update will solve this behavior.

Hi,

i've got a Cplay2air dongle.

Can i flash it with the carlinkit firmware with USB stick as explained ?

Thanks

Hi

i've got a Strange issue since few days. I've an Cplay2air dongle working for the last 6 month with an iPhone 12 XS wirelessly.

Since few days, the iPhone autoconnect by Bluetooth, but i've got an error "This accessory is not supported for this device" on iPhone, so the carplay mirror screen failed. Same issue if i connect through USB cable.

I've got the last firmware (novembre) on the dongle.
IOS 13.4 on iPhone XS

I've deleted profile on dongle, iPhone (Bluetooth and carplay), it worked back one time, then failed the second time...

I Wonder if it's an hardware issue from the dongle, a firmware issue or Something else.

Does some has this ? Thanks in advance

Got my Carlinkit 2.0 this week, bought off ebay took about 3 weeks from China to Australia, synced straight up with my 2019 Jeep Cherokee, can't find any faults with it connection is fast and all works great.
Does suck my iP12 battery a bit, just dropped 20% in a hour i was using the phone as well though, phone was hot on the back too but must be from me using it as it doesn't seem to get hot when just using CarPlay.
Guess will have to plug in for long trips.

Hi friends! Sorry for my poor english (I'm from Spain)

I have
-Ford Puma model year 2021 with Ford Sync 3.4
-C2play2air with latest Firmware 2020.12.10.1057

My problem (yo can see it and the Dropbox video) is the following:
- System connect and works fine, but when I call "Oye Siri (Hey Siri in spanish)" system reboot and I can't use it
Is possible that Siri go to Sync before wireless Carplay?
¿Any solution? Cplay2air gave me a lot of tips but doesnt work

You appear to have your phone connected to Bluetooth to ford sync.

Unpair your phone from ford sync and try it again.

I have a strange problem. If I update past firmware 08.04.2020, if I use Siri, it crashes carplay and disconnects. Has anyone else had this problem and/or is there a known fix for it?

Version 08.04.2020 seems to work with Siri no problems.

Car: Ford Explorer 2020 with Sync 3
Device: Carlinkit 2.0
Phone: iPhone X
iOS: 14.3

Get a wireless charger.

I have that same issue with Lincoln (Ford Sync 3.4) everything works but voice texting. Kicks you out and reboots and the cars own voice controls try to take over. My phone is not connected to bluetooth and have tried every variation. When carplay is connected via cable it works fine. It seems like the Ford voice control system cannot be disabled its on to perform in car voice controls whether you have a phone paired to it or not. Are we saying here that an older version of the C2playair firmware worked in the past?

I just went to try this in my Ford (UK focus) but also running sync 3.4 and it seems to be working ok for me - can activate Siri through the steering wheel button play music send messages etc Ok. I have a USB carlinkit 2.0 on 2020.12.10 - attached some screenshots of settings and sync build too incase that makes a difference!
