CarPlay CarPlay adapter to convert to wireless CarPlay?

If I have the Amazon 2.0 Version with removable version 3/6 USB C cable and the Red UI I can load the Autokit Applelike linked just above this post is this correct?
I did an interesting experiment - opened the web page link for OTA upgrade/settings on my phone, disconnected the unit from power and attempted a rollback. To my surprise, the update proceeded as usual, even telling me it was successful, despite not doing anything!

I have 2021.03.06.1343 official firmware on Carlinkit 2.0. There is no update to 2021.04 version on 192.168.0.52. I've downgraded to 2020 FW and upgraded back using Web UI, but there is still no new FW. Any ideas?
Properly exit your Safari browser on iPhone, empty the web cache (Settings -> Safari -> Clear History and Website Data) and then try again.
then maybe try downloading from the archive maintained by @KevinGrabher here and use a USB key to flash?

I downgraded CFW with the Vlud's script, putting the U2W.sh, ARMimg and de .img of march firmware in the root of an usb memory.

put both files into a usb with the CFW version you want to downgrade. Then power on your carlinkit with a powerbank or wall socket, an d once the red light its fixed red connect the usb memory
I can add that April also is now causing issues with the VW MIB system; I get a message now about "unable to connect, please make sure mobile device is unlocked" from the head unit. It automatically re-tries and usually works on the second or third time, but on prior firmwares it always connected perfectly. Gonna attempt to downgrade myself.
I put 3 files U2W.sh, ARMimg_maker and U2W_Update.img (2021.03.06 version) but the dongle do nothing still on red light and the version when I go on 192.168.50.2 still the same. how can I fix it

Agreed — I just downgraded and it’s back to good again.
Got in car today. No CarPlay on screen. Solid red light on my cheapo £20 Amazon one with detachable USB-C cable.
Unplugged, checked cables etc but same. Won’t connect to web page either. Left it a while, but same won’t connect and solid red light.
It was on official 2021-06-03 firmware. Is it now a goner? Amazon warranty but it’s not listed anymore and Amazon would probably refund, and won’t be able to get one for £20 now.
Anything I should try before contacting Amazon? A USB reflash of some official firmware? I was going to just try a reset, but can’t connect to the dongles webpage either.

I would try to install again the firmware via usb, my sister’s got semibricked one day and doing what I tell you i was able to restore it

Goes to red solid straight away. I wonder if it’s a hardware fault. Poor quality if so only had a few months.

What did you do to get it working again?
Tried with a USB and wall charger that I’ve done numerous USB updates on my original CarLinkIt before but it just stays on solid red.
I tried what was on originally firmware of 2021-06-03 but no good. Then tried the next one from the list 2021-04-19 and same. Just stayed on solid red light.
Even plugged into wall charger I can’t see it’s WiFi either.
I also got a cheap Amazon one and made it to CFW 2021-06-03. My device is still working but I am having the same solid red issue like you experienced. No matter what filename combination I used, it stays on solid red only.
Yours is still working though? Mine isn’t at all now, tried to flash with USB but nothing. No web page access etc.
If yours is working then I’d leave, the way the updates are they are not the best anyway, so leave alone if working.
Looks like mine is dead and imagine all Amazon will do is refund me the £20, as can’t see this seller, or any other cheapo ones on Amazon UK now.
