Mine is working 60% of the time when I start up the car. Need to unplug and re-plug the USB cable to get it to function properly. The only real problem at the moment is that it does not respond to any of the update filenames.
Well, like you and some said, it is the cheap one. I bought it, knowing that it might not work right.

I am currently still on 2020.11.10.2138 version. So far work 99% for my Honda Civic 2019.
after so many months testing. It‘s quite stable. So I’m keeping this version.
i actually have a 2nd dongle for testing the new versions “2021.3.06.” Which is the current version via the OTA upgrade, but it seem the 2020.11.10 is far more stable. Just my opinion after testing the 2 version. Hence would recommend honda user to keep the 2020.11.10.2138 version without the upgrade. Peace ✌️

I had the same question and I solved it below
- Open file
- Choose "Download Linked File" on "Raw" with right click

TO ALL MAZDA OWNERS: DO NOT UPDATE YOUR INFOTAINMENT FIRMWARE TO THE NEWEST 74.00.230A. I updated it and now my wireless CarPlay (March firmware) is no longer responding.

After updating the Mazda firmware, my adapter would sometimes be non responsive. Sometimes I’d get a “CarPlay failed” message on my monitor. Just recently, my left speaker stopped working and I thought it was weird timing with the Mazda firmware update. I tried playing with the audio settings and nothing helped. As a last minute ditch effort, I factory reset my infotainment system. That somehow fixed my speaker issue.

Now my CarPlay adapter is no longer recognized by my vehicle. I deleted the WiFi and CarPlay from my phone. Every time I connect the adapter, the red light shows up and the WiFi still appears but the car doesn’t bring the device connecting page anymore. I’ve also tried downgrading the adapter and reupgrading but nothing brings back the red black device connecting page.

One thing I haven’t done yet is downgrading my Mazda firmware back to 70.000.34. Which at this point I’m way too lazy to do.

Is this the best way to install the latest Custom Firmware?
Just making sure I'm not doing 8 steps when it can be done in 1 or 2

  1. Use fallback to get it back to the 2020.11.10 original firmware.
  2. Apply the 2020.11.10 custom firmware.
  3. Apply the 2020.12.10 custom firmware.
  4. Apply the 2021.01.28 custom firmware.
  5. Use the U2W.sh file to verify the partition size: 12MB
  6. Apply the 2021.02.02 custom AUTOKIT firmware by renaming it to U2W_Update.img.
  7. Apply the 2021.03.06 custom AUTOKIT firmware with the filename U2W_AUTOKIT_update.img.
  8. Apply the 2021.04.26 custom AUTOKIT firmware with the filename U2W_AUTOKIT_update.img.

Since i deleted every trace of the adapter from my phone (WiFi and CarPlay settings) and now my car won’t recognize the adapter anymore, is it basically bricked?

I updated my 2015 Mazda 3 to 74.00.230A last Saturday but I didn't get on the road until Monday. It was actually alright on Monday but this morning is completely NO NO. Black screen at all times no matter how many times I rebooted the Carlinkit2.

Glad to know I’m not the only one experiencing issues. Do you think we are able to downgrade our firmware for the infotainment?

Possible! When I inserted v.59 collections, it didn't find anything.

When I inserted v.70 collections, it found all available files.

I don't have time to try until weekend.

This is where I’m at right now. I didn’t have time to babysit this damn car update lol. Thanks for letting me know it’s possible to downgrade!

I should have known the updated Mazda firmware would cause an issue with the adapter lol.

Is it possible to downgrade from 2021-04-26 to 2020-12-10 ( this is the only one working properrly for me)
I tried to install the march 2021 version but I am not able to install it. There is also no option to rollback

So my adapter isn’t working on my Mazda CX-5 after the new Mazda firmware update but it still works fine on my girlfriends Honda Civic!

Hello people,

I have a Sony XAV-AX1000. Until recently, I always had with the Cplay2air adapter reboot loops of the head unit or the LED on the adapter has simply remained red. Since the new firmware (2021.04.26.1411) I can finally now use the adapter. However, it freezes/hangs as soon as any sound is played. It doesn't matter if it's Apple Maps, Google Maps, Spotify or others.
Does anyone here have an idea how I can fix this?

(Sorry for my bad english)

This little box has a lot of potential... but so many bugs. Even with the custom firmware.

On my GM Intellilink system it will work flawlessly for 10-12 key cycles. Then... it will just show a red light for an entire drive. Sometimes two drives. Unplugging and plugging does nothing. Wired CarPlay through the Intellilink system works instantly. Then like magic, on the third drive the box works again.

I won't even make a guess as to whether it's the box or the Intellilink system. I wish the red light instances would happen more infrequently, but they are often enough that I never know what I'm going to run into.
