I think I may have these files on my laptop. I’ll check tonight.
 
@dvuon Wierd thing. Downgraded to .06 with sd card, went to the car and still had problems with the connect/disconnect.
I went on the OTA page and flashed some files from there, its a list with them, and then flash the last update, and i think now its working. I think i have .09 now.
Will test more.

Dang. Hope it works! So .0.6 was stable enough for you to update OTA? It didn’t do the whole disconnect and connect thing? And Did you update to .0.9 OTA too? Or through SD? I don’t see a .9 on your screenshot.
 
@dvuon Nop. It didnt work, after leaving the car and coming back after work it started to do the connect/disconnect issue.
I opened a dispute on aliexpress for refund.
I pressed the update button from the middle of the page and i think it updated to the last version available.

But there was a version that was stable enough for you to do an OTA update. Shouldn't that one be the one firmware that works with the Mazda?

Nop, it just connected and i didnt hit the knob to start carplay and the OTA page worked so i did the updates.
 
I really need help. I bought a wireless carplay device from carplay2air. The product came, it worked, but after updating it did not work again. I did the update from 192.168.50.2. After that, no lights come on. When I plug it in, only the blue light flashes. can i save this? I would really apreciate if you help.
 
First post on this subject, did my OTA. Update yesterday can I just go to GitHub and download the latestCFW. And load on usb stick and bosh? I have red UI BTW. Main reason to do this is I hate the splash screen and hope to reduce RAM usage

If you are on official firmware >= 2021.03.06, then you need to downgrade using rollback firmware first before flashing any custom firmware.

I am on official 2021.08.24 ATM.Then can I go to CFW 2021.08.24? been messing around with IOS 15, since June dev version, dropping back to 14 and so on, also on my iPad Air 4. A right PITA

Also would it be worth trying to activate Wi-Fi ac, or even 6? Is that included in theCFW or will i have to sort of ‘sideload’ a script, almost sounds like I know what I’m talking about. While I have been in IT for 35+ years, the best I can do is read some code and spot errors,I’m a system test analyst, see? I fart around with my FireTV, sideloading crap to the 128 GB USB Stick, KODI etc. I remember when had the original XBOX and ran XBMC on it, them were the days!:D

You should be able to recover if there's lights... You'd need to load new firmware on a flash drive (formatted as FAT32), within nothing else on the root, and then connect the USB, and power up the device from a USB power brick (I wouldn't use the car). Should flash, and reboot... The trick is knowing what firmware to load. You could try downloading the latest.... @VLud has a good repository for Stock firmware (https://github.com/ludwig-v/wireless-carplay-dongle-reverse-engineering/tree/master/Firmware), if it's an older device, I would try the 8.30; if it's newer (e.g. the Carlinkit w/ red Interface//WiFi 5, you could try the 8.24).. WMMV.

You could also email their support. They might have a better process to follow. I've heard C2A support is better than Carlinkit....
 
Thanks a lot, I think I have it now BTW I have a Carlinkit II but I think the ‘guts’ are the same?

I won the dispute based on the video i uploaded. Got like 30$/60$ back, i could have pressed for more, but maybe the seller will fix it.
 
Received both the Podofo and Cheerdriving units today. They're virtually identical though there are some UI differences. Both exhibit the same broken screen mirroring though; needless to say they'll both be going back to Ali and gonna stick with the Carlinkit v3 for now.
