Well, I gave up on the first unit and ordered a CarlinKit v3.0 from Amazon, which arrived today. Unpaired my phone from my truck and plugged in the new unit, only to get the "File Read Error," followed by "Media Files Not Found" on my radio screen. A Bluetooth device called TUNEZ showed up, but pairing is unsuccessful with the message, "Make sure TUNEZ is turned on, in range, and it ready to pair."

I think I mentioned above this is in a '21 RAM Classic with the Uconnect 8.4" radio (current firmware).

I am currently doing the OTA updates (it came loaded with the 2021.03.06.1343 version). No change with pairing/setup after updating to 2021.07.05.2308. Currently downloading the next recommended version, but it appears to be hung at 4%..

So frustrating!

Anybody have problems with iOS 15? I use Apple Music and now the music doesn’t refresh to what’s playing currently. Never had an issue before.

I didn't experience this issue. Just updated my iPhone XS to iOS15. Music information (title, artist, album cover) all seemed to refresh as usual. I didn't notice any changes. I'll pay attention tomorrow and see if it's buggy.

Strange. No issues here. I have been on the beta for a few months now and never had refreshing issues. The master update hasnt given me issues either.

I’m another Mazda owner. Could you please specify by date which update did not work for you and then which one did work?
Didn't pay any attention to what date/version # the update was that caused the problem - happened on the 19th Sep.

But the current one installed (from USB) and working well is
2021.08.30.0022

It has the settings option on the update screen - hadn't noticed that before so I may have been on a much older version previously. I've left all the settings in their default settings and all seems well.

Finally got it working! When it hung up, I shut the truck down and brought the new unit back inside and plugged it into the wall wart to restart the OTA update, which finally took (2021.08.24.1817). Went back out to the truck and it initially didn't seem like it was going to work again, but after fiddling with wifi and Bluetooth on my phone, the setup screen popped up on the radio and it finally connected up. The screen image was very blurry (same as what happened when I first set up my CP2A), but was clear and operating correctly on the next startup cycle on the truck.

So we'll see if it stays working longer than the first unit...

Hello guys,

anyone has ConnectBox (or Podofo) working on Peugeot 3008?
I'm interested on AirPlay function

Thanks!

I've been running version 2020.12.25.1732 on my CarLinkit v3.0 (with Broadcom WiFi5/AC). This is the oldest firmware I could rollback to after my testing trying to load CFW. It has been running for 1-2 days now, and by far is the most stable it's ever been... I’m very surprised!
Predictable packetloss/drops started occurring again today on my commute in the same areas. No joy, I guess it was just wishful dreaming... Also took a drive out to our truck yard where we have a bunch of CPE wireless cameras and a wireless mesh; the phone ended up disconnecting from the CarLinkit device (anticipated behavior based on previous experience).

Wanted to report back that Carplay for the Podofo device on the .09 update has been working with no issues in the Honda Civic 2018 model. Still cant get the airplay phone mirror casting to work. Tapping on the corner button to switch to the airplay mode is really buggy. It sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. Once I cast, the audio works but no video on the screen. Hoping a new update is rolled out soon to fix video and also get it working with Mazda vehicles.

08.24 for red UI and 08.30 for the green UI seem like the most stable by far

For me CarPlay remains completely unreliable and unpredictable in both my Mercedes and with the AutoKit Android emulator. I tried rolling back from .09 to .03 which was a disaster, so back to .09. Meanwhile I have reverted to my CarLinkIt 2.0 until there is a new firmware from Cheerdriving.

To me, it seems like these wireless CarPlay adapters are for a hobbyist rather than the consumer market. Personally, I will probably never buy another car without wireless CarPlay. I have really come to really want CarPlay (currently wired), and I am worried what will happen if Apple drops the connector. I don't trust these adapters.

I can only say my carlinkit 3.0 adapter works without any issue so far in my Mercedes e-class from 2019. I use it as it came from Amazon.

Today the Podofo adapter arived and i didnt had to much time to test it. I just plugged it in the port and connected tot the car, all good at first glance. Maybe i go out for a drive.
I have Mazda 3 2020.
What was the ip website for the OTA update?

192.168.0.1 from firmware level .06 onwards. If your device came with firmware level below .06, you'll have to update with a microSD card first.

Update, when i got to the car the adapter wont work anymore.
This is all that i get even after i am connected to it. Any sugestions?

Now it connects and disconnects from the dongle..wtf
What version were you previously on? I was previously on whatever stock firmware they gave me and it never connected to the Mazda 2019 GT. I updated to .09 and now the car just shows carplay flashing on and off, disconnects and connects and disconnects for an infinite loop. The green power also turns on and off.

I didnt update, its the one that the box came with. No update OTA or card.
So you say that .09 its worse?

I just realized Mazda 3 2020 has the newer 8.8 inch infotainment system. My 2019 still has the 7inch and different firmware from yours. Try giving the .09 update a try. You can always downgrade.

Ok.
How i do that via sd card? just copy the file .09, insert in the pc usb port and insert the sd card?

Gotta make sure its 32gbs or under. Plug in the micro SD prior to plugging the device into a power source. I just plugged it into my laptop and it updated in under 20 seconds.
