Congratulations.

Hi, I'm very new to Apple Watch and still trying to figure out how to get the best out of Carrot Weather. Would anyone be able to tell me how to get the rain prediction ("rain in...") to appear as a complication? When using the iOS app, in the Complications section of the Settings I can see all other forms of data for Complications, but not rain prediction. In the App Store this is shown as a Complication, so I'm sure there must be a way of doing it. The watch is a Series 2, on watch is 3.1.

Thanks for your help!

I bought the Carrot bundle and LOVE it! The Weather app is hands down my favorite of all weather apps - I've tried them all, including many other paid ones. Can one still join the beta? Also, I'd love to see snark on the Apple Watch complication :) Or is that just too much sass for the watch face? Also, thank you for having a dark mode widget!

Agreed! My modular watch face uses three complications (thanks to the Carrot workout app). The center and bottom left and right.

I'm guessing the poster is unable to tell the difference between an Apple Watch (hardware), and a third party weather app designed to run on the Apple Watch (software). He got confused.
Hope so... that would at least make a little more sense. :)

Not running a beta at the moment, but if you submit a support request through the app (or PM me your email), I can add you to the list.

And you can get a limited amount of snark on the large complication slots by setting your complication to the "chatty" option!

I'm very curious as to how often the current conditions are updated...and where the information is obtained. I've checked the current conditions a good 30-40 times over the past few days (in Tulsa, OK)...and I've yet to be able to match the T/Td/RH/wind/pressure to either the TUL ASOS or the RVS ASOS observations (or is it accessing the 1 or 5 minute data?). Doesn't match the Tulsa mesonet site as well.

Anyway...this meteorologist loves the app.

I use darksky.net as my weather data source. They pull data from a bunch of different weather services across the world and then combines this with a very complex image analysis of radar.

Hello.
I've been trying Carrot's customizable complications but to no avail.
Firstly, I'm a paid subscriber. Secondly, I use iPhone SE and a 38 Apple Watch. Thirdly, I'm using the latest version of Carrot Weather.
Here's the issue: the face of my watch does NOT show current temp, only "feels like" temp. Despite rebooting both devices, and waiting for the sync to go through, throughout the day, my watch's face is stuck on "feels like" temp, instead of showing the current temp. The feels like" temp is being updated alright, but I want the current temp.
I know the routine: On the complication customization screen, there’s an option to switch between the actual temperature and the feels like temperature. I tapped that button to toggle to actual temperature, then synced the settings across. The complication does NOT update with the actual temperature. Never :(

Hmm, can you try toggling it back to feels like and then back to actual temp one more time?

Your suggestion didn't work, but I finally solved this issue by turning the "Feel Like" option OFF! That was the only solution. Perhaps it is something to fix in the future, because I cannot get a current temp AND "feel like" temp together; it is one or the other.

Ah, I thought you were just trying to turn feels like off completely - you were trying to select the feels like complication option on, so it would show actual and feels like temperature at the same time? In that case, what happens if you select one of the other complication options, like wind speed?

Excellent question, precisely my frustration. If I don't turn feels like off completely, I only get feels like and the other options (feels like/wind speed, etc.). I can never get current temp/wind speed if I don't turn feels like off completely. Took me a while to figure this out.
What I really want is: current temp/feels like temp.

So with the separate "feels like" setting turned off, are you able to set the large complication slot to "feels like" and have that show up?

Yes. But if I turn the separate "feels like" setting on then I get ONLY "feels like" temps across the board (never actual temp).

Nope. By default I get feels like temperature, regardless of what I choose, unless the separate "feels like" setting is turned off.

Are you using the small complication slot or the large one? The small slot can only show one or the other - the large slot has an option to show actual *and* feels like at the same time.

Sorry, I kept updating my previous post...
Large complication slot: The only way I can get actual temp is by turning the separate "feels like" setting off! I can't get both to show no matter what I do.
I updated my previous post, please read. Thanks :)

Side note: I am totally fine with just actual temp. Once I press for more info I can see the "feels like" temps and that's fine by me. Right now I have it set for actual temp/Chatty (while the separate "feels like" setting off), and it is good enough for me.

OK, why don't you email me at support at meetcarrot dot com with a screenshot of the complication settings screen? I think we might be talking about two different things.

Quick question. Does apple allow you to pick a color for the top line of the large modular complication? If so, I think it would be cool if that was an option. Thanks for the great app!

They do - I actually have it set to change automatically with the weather condition for one of the complication settings. Maybe I'll add that as an option in a future update.
