That's because you'd rather carry around a brick.
The Apple leather case hardly makes my phone a brick. It doesn't add much more to the phone at all.

Wow. You are joking right?
I have owned the 6+ and I have a 6s+ now.

But that camera bump and the antenna bands are not pretty. They are downright fugly.

Apple managed the make the bulge in the 6s+ a bit better looking, but it's still ugly. And so are the bands - still.

I don't use cases so I get reminded of that whenever I flip the phone over.

I don't believe it for a second. They went from curvy with rounded sides to flat with sharp sides to flat with rounded sides. Seems more fashion driven than ergonomic / tactile.
True. But the size of the phone changed didn't it? The 4.7 inch iPhones would be much more unwieldy with sharper edges IMO. And if it were thicker it would be hard to curl your fingers around the phone to hold

And what does this have to do with why I am using a screen protector? It doesn't affect my using the phone anymore then without. In fact, I am using it to keep all the greasy fingerprints off.

And once again, it does not affect my ability to use my phone in the way Apple intended.

Thats fine, but i've started why I hate them and you're saying its not true - it is true, it just doesn't bother you.

The rear of the phone may not be the prettiest but the real looker is the front
Even with that back, its the best looking iPhone to date IMO

But that S6 is a looker too until you turn on the screen and see Touchwiz.

One of the reasons I got the iPhone 5 in 2012. The whole 2001 Space Odyssey monolith look. Yet the sides and back of the iPhone 5 contributed to that.

The 6/6s/6+/6s+ only maintain that look from the front unfortunately.

The chamfered slightly rounded edges like the S6 would have worked better than the full on rounded edges we have on the 6 and 6s.

Ah but then Apple would be copying Samsung (I'm kidding!) but I agree. The chamfered edge of the S6 really gives it a sort of artisan look and feel.

I know this is a forum to discuss topics, but it's funny how people get extremely defensive if random internet strangers do not agree with their opinion. o_O Insecurity issues I guess.

Personally I've been happy with the Apple silicone case on my iPhone 6s Plus. Without the case it's too easy to slide out of my front pants pocket (work slacks). Plus extra overall grip helps in day to day use. I like the midnight blue with space gray/black iPhone combo. Red silicone looks nice with black too.

"To each his own."

If you want grip just put on a brand skin and get insurance then you can get on with your life.

Have no need for a skin, very happy with the case. Have no "hang-ups" about my name phone not showing. Not a status symbol, a business tool.

Like I said this is like a religion and everyone has a choice. I am just stating what I prefer and that should not threaten the naked phone users.

It is really quite typical in this forum! People get defensive, even aggressive if you do not agree. I think it is all funny and they would too if they could keep things in perspective.

LOL! Yet it seems to me that it is those who use cases who argue the most in support of their opinion.

For those who do not use cases the reason is very simple. We don't like them because we believe they mar the beauty of the design. Those who do use cases have a variety of reasons as to why - rather than just one. And they go to great lengths to explain to those who do not use cases as to why they are wrong.

It's all very formulaic as the issue has been discussed repeatedly here and the same arguments are brought out each time.

Use a case, don't use a case, it's doesn't matter to me. I don't but it doesn't matter to me at all if you do. It's your phone, do what you wish with it. I didn't buy it so I have no say in the matter.
