Well while on hold I tried the online chat. Was told I had to cancel my order to fix it. Hopefully someone on the phone will be more helpful.

Well, if they aren't I will just change it with UPS like it did last year or have them hold it at the UPS Center. It is only a couple miles from work. I will just go at lunch. I was just trying to make it easier on myself.

I had changed my default Apple shipping to my work address, that didn't help. ha ha.

I have had trouble in the past changing the UPS address. And since I moved I am not sure I want to risk that. Really pretty stupid they don't use the actual billing address. The irony usually when you try and ship to a different address that isn't your billing its an issue. Figures today is opposite day.

I thought about doing this but its not just my shipping address that is wrong, Apple automatically filled in my mothers name on the shipping. So if I go to UPS they probably won't give me my phone because the name does not match my ID

I finally got through. The rep said he couldn't edit the shipping address on his end. That's BS! I asked him to go to a supervisor, so I'm on hold again. Damn right I'm holding my ground after being on hold for over 2 hours!

Hold your ground! We know that other people on this site have gotten their delivery info changed
 
Now my order is preparing for shipment... so that probably means no editing shipping address...

Rep checked back in, said he was conferring with a Senior Specialist and will be right back with me.

I finally got on with a rep and he too is consulting with a senior advisor. Any luck on your end?
 
Amazing I have to go through all this just to take the E out of the shipping address. Hopefully they can change that. They should just let you edit your order online.
 
I just did Apple chat and the lady was able to change it. Shows on apple's site already. Ordered through Apple with AT&T Next.

Anybody with an order that has started preparing for shipment successfully get the address changed after it has hit this status?

Awesome news!

The rep put in some sort of ticket for incorrect shipping address and warned it could possibly delay it by a day. The trade off of waiting a day isn't so bad. Especially if I would've had to drive 150 miles to pick it up in my hometown.

If they resist at first, politely mention if a supervisor can make the changes and then they will consult with a senior advisor.

After being on hold for 1:38 minutes, the rep told me he couldn't I asked for him to check and see. He said the only thing he could do was to put in a request and see if ATT approves it. It will take 24 hours, but he and the supervisor are hopeful since we are getting it in so early. There is no guarantee. These reps are hard-working, this is no fault of their own their doing the best they can. I will keep you posted.
 
If your order is still processing, you can do it from the order page on Apple.com without needing to chat/call support.

That's crazy! The lady I spoke to on chat said it was an easy process. Did it within 5 minutes and I have been talking to her for like 30 minutes about the phone and other things lol.

How were you able to get a online chat? I tried that and it just give me the option to call.
 
At first he said he could not change the address. I mentioned this forum and he double checked and was able to switch both phone and case to my office address. He said he was able to do it because both the old phone and the new 7 were fully paid and not on an installment plan. Website shows updated information.
