Nothing was confirmed as anything. Nothing is confirmed until Tuesday.
Stop saying 'confirmed'. Unless Cook had already walked off stage and the whole event is over, nothing is confirmed.
BTW the iTunes beta confirming the 4S was most likely faked

We have 4G LTE here in Canada from two carriers.
4G in the United States is HSDPA. That is what Tmobile and ATT are using at least. The only true 4g is LTE which isn't widely used yet. So yes you guys in the U.K. technically have 4g with your HSDPA speeds. We in the U.S. are still stuck with 3g iphones going at 2mb download speeds at max.
You'd be wrong. You should Google these things before posting and looking foolish. Just a suggestion.
Sweden has 4G (well, 3.9 aka LTE but who cares). Then again, we developed the technology Verizon is using, so only seems right :- )
LTE+ is 4G, LTE is not. No one ANYWHERE has 4G, nor will they for some time.
This is ill-advised - iOS 3, and iOS4 run great on the 3GS. I'm a developer and I have the iOS5 beta on my 3GS and it runs better than ever, better than iOS3 or iOS4 ever did.

The thing that sucks most is that Apple advertised how smooth and responsive scrolling and page changes and opening Apps are. But the screen is jittery like hell and opening and closing of Apps looks like they stutter 3-5 times before they are closed. And I have restored it countless times already.
Don't tell me that iPhones "just work" and Android phones all have problems. iPhones also have their fair share of problems. My colleagues Androids have a much more fluid interface and they text and email much quicker than the iPhone due to the crap UI responsiveness.
How do you know most people want a larger screen? According to sales the 3.5 inch screen is the most popular
Nope, verified by multiple sources.
Where's the link showing that claim.
We aren't getting 4G for another 2 years or more... But from googling America, Norway and Sweden have 4G.
Apple needs to release an iPhone 5 or they will lose a lot of customers. Windows Phone will be rocking with the new Nokia handsets coming in the next month or two. And there's some amazing Android handsets in the pipeline.
Verified yes, confirmed no.
Nothing is confirmed until Apple announce it
1) whenever companies are allowed to pay workers the same as overseas
or
2) whenever consumers are ready to pay a lot more
That makes NO sense.
Previous poster said Canada has it and I just got back from Korea and they have it there.
Nope, verified by multiple sources.
Call it a hunch, but the 4S will sell even better than the 4.
Let me help you then. Verified as in someone else saw the same code in the iTunes beta.
Not confirmed that Apple will launch an iPhone 4S as Apple have not announced anything yet. It is all rumours and speculation.

No nationwide 4G coverage in Korea until 2013. According to Reuters.
I'm telling you, the iPhone 4s is a massive conspiracy so that the brand new iPhone 5 does not get prematurely leaked like the iPhone 4. Say that the new product is going to be spot on to the iPhone 4, you all b**** and whine and the end result will be a new product. ITS A CONSPIRACY IM TELLING YOU!!!!!
4S will be a disaster for Apple if there's no iPhone 5. I know I will be switching to Windows Phone if that happens. And literally dozens of others will do the same.
People need to realize that the labor costs involved in something like a phone are minimal regardless of where its made. Do you realize how many of these phones one person on an assembly line could make in a day. The bean counters are the reason why these things are made in China. Its not because of any actual significant costs. I bet all the shipping and quality control issues offsets any savings anyway.
On Friday, the employees at Foxconn the vast Chinese factory that makes a huge array of must-have western electronics such as iPads, iPhones and Dell computers received a 66% increase in their wages. It is the second rise in four months and average pay will now be about $300 (£190) a month.

Apple would be INCREDIBLY stupid to not release the iPhone 5.
did you read my original post? read it and tell me again that iOS4 runs great on a 3GS. unless you define great as this:
But that's not what you said, you said it was fake. So either Apple put it there and it's real or somebody faked it. And since multiple sources verified it, it's not fake.
Article from Oct 2 2010, doubt they have increased their wages much more since.
Who in the US do you know that would find that wage acceptable? If they got paid regular US min wage that would be about 4x more than they pay someone overseas.
Do you think the company or the consumer would take that hit?
