So America and Canada have HSDPA, I was thinking of LTE when thinking 4G. And also speed:

We aren't getting 4G for another 2 years or more... But from googling America, Norway and Sweden have 4G.

But anyway, it is still pointless for Apple to include it in the iPhone at present.

People need to realize that the labor costs involved in something like a phone are minimal regardless of where its made. Do you realize how many of these phones one person on an assembly line could make in a day. The bean counters are the reason why these things are made in China. Its not because of any actual significant costs. I bet all the shipping and quality control issues offsets any savings anyway.

Not confirmed that Apple will launch an iPhone 4S as Apple have not announced anything yet. It is all rumours and speculation.

I'm telling you, the iPhone 4s is a massive conspiracy so that the brand new iPhone 5 does not get prematurely leaked like the iPhone 4. Say that the new product is going to be spot on to the iPhone 4, you all b**** and whine and the end result will be a new product. ITS A CONSPIRACY IM TELLING YOU!!!!!

But that's not what you said, you said it was fake. So either Apple put it there and it's real or somebody faked it. And since multiple sources verified it, it's not fake.

9.7M people live in Seoul. And once again, that's not the argument. You said only the US had LTE. Then when you included other nations you left out Korea as well as Canada. Just trying to inform you that even others exist. I never claimed it to be nationwide.

Hahahaha...I'll say this, I have hopes that Apple is intentionally leaking details about the 4S to lead us off of the 5. But I don't think that the 4S is fake. I think it exists. If we do get a redesigned 5 we will also get a 4S with it.

Article from Oct 2 2010, doubt they have increased their wages much more since.

Who in the US do you know that would find that wage acceptable? If they got paid regular US min wage that would be about 4x more than they pay someone overseas.

Do you think the company or the consumer would take that hit?

you're fishing but what are you trying to catch? my launch day 3gs doesn't have any of the issues you list running ios4 along with numerous jailbreak add ons and yes i tether it occasionally (though that is irrelevant to performance.)
the battery has 500 charge cycles and lasts an easy 24 hours between charges, including hours of ipod use most days while i'm at work

maybe you got a lemon or trashed the thing. that doesnt mean everyone is you.



if there is no new form factor i'll consider a 4s along with a used 4.

and to further that point it would change how we view the product when it's being assembled by people in minimum wage jobs
if auto workers were minimum wage earners you'd presumably see employee turnover skyrocket and quality tank

the only way to bring production back to america is going to be through increasing levels of automation in manufacturing (and you have to appreciate that it is already hugely refined)
also consider that the raw materials are also often sourced from asian suppliers
