I just logged in to say that your comment just shows how ignorant you are of how a final product such as the Apple Watch gets its final price. The price you pay includes years of research, development, which again intrinsically include design, prototyping, machines, countless man hours, the very same again for the accompanying software. Potatohead thieves can blatantly rip these off and sell inferior plastic junk (eg. Samsung) for 1/20th the price, because they didn't have to do any of these.

If you don't understand product development and business management, I'd suggest you refrain yourself from making ridiculous comments about it.

You should have stayed logged off.

The word GIVE ME A BREAK resounds large and clear, the screen is crap (you see right by looking at it), the SOC is crap (off the shelf and slow), the build and material... You got it... Crap. The integration with the Iphone (or any other phone).... Crap AND a security risk... The interface... Compatibility with Iphone Apps (you know the SDK...) well obviously Crap.

So, yeah, if you like crap they got it for you.

And I definitely wouldn't trust their battery life claims. It's pretty common for these knockoffs to exaggerate that number to the extreme. (I'd be impressed if this thing can even run a full day)

Why is it an embarrassment? Because a company has managed to produce the product for $25 that Apple will be charging 20 x that for?

So what's unusual. You can get things that look like Rolex and Tag watches on the streets in NYC for around 1% of Swiss prices. A friend purchased one, accurate and looked nice... until the first time it rained a little and the watch just stopped working. The same thing might happen with this Apple look-alike.

Here's an analogy for R&D for you to help you understand what's happened here.

These companies that rip off products often just watch the winners pass the finish line of the race and then run across themselves, without actually running the race itself, yet count it as an equal victory when in reality it's a hollow one.

This means that they've not learned from any mistakes during the running of the race itself, and that often leads to utter failure and poor performance when actually attempting to run a race by themselves.

It also means their athlete looks equal to it's rival on paper, but in real life he's weak and can't compete.

not only it looks exactly same as Apple Watch.

it only costs 1/15 what Apple wants to gouge you for. AND the battery life is 10 times what Apple can do.

Let's be honest, this is probably made in the same factory that's producing AppleWatch.

it's okay, I don't particularly like the look of Applewatch either, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it makes me sick

Do you really believe this stuff? Is this a parody or something? Where's the hidden camera?! What??!?!? REALLY?! Oh man.

I'm still not feeling the vibe of a smart watch. I specifically bought a wrist watch that is solar powered and is equipped with a rechargeable battery for the reason being that I have trouble enough remembering to charge my phone. At least with my watch I know that it'll always be on and ready to go.

You better hurry then, because the last person to feel the vibe of the smartwatch is a rotten egg.

Astounding when people say "tide me over", like it's a stop-gap kidney dialysis machine or something. Wow...

As if picking apart peoples' comments with the intent of making them appear foolish is more noble than being excited for a new gadget.

I don't even understand the angle you're trying to take. Are you insinuating that only life or death matters are important enough to care about?

I don't understand people who buy knockoffs . It probably half-functions, when it functions it will not function properly, it will die soon, it will be socially embarrassing to use, and you will waste your money.

I think people are confused about expensive brands (expensive due to name only) and valuable brands (brands lower in price but high in value)

Does China literally have no shame?

Imagine if their immense resources were put into products of quality rather than cheap and nasty rubbish that's destined for landfill within five years?

Which one? I'd pay for the clone for a fun toy to wind people up with, but the real deal? I'd buy a container ship, convert it into a house and live in it in our back garden before I paid Apple silly ££ for a WATCH. I'd buy a Rolex first - you know - A REAL WATCH that has value.
I had a chance to buy a Rolex when I was in China. I went with my sister, my brother, and my brother-in-law into the secret room where they kept the "good stuff" (away from the eyes of the authorities) and covertly recorded video of the bargaining:

I think they ended up paying about $200 for the watch and an assortment of other knockoff items.

But I was never interested in Rolexes, either real ones or clones to wind people up with. I am kind of interested in the Apple Watch, though I'm waiting to see it in person first.

The original iPhone sold for $399 on contract... it took them only one year to bring down the price.

Give them time to reduce production costs and cover R&D costs.

I 100% agree. It's like back in the day when Samsung first came out with their Android smartphone.

Actually the price of the iPhone went up. It started at $499 unlocked but now starts at $649 unlocked, and goes up to $949 if I'm not mistaken on the 128GB 6 Plus model. Apple just worked out more favorable subsidization.

The same thing might happen with the Apple official watch .

Switzerland is laughing hard at both products, whilst retaining decorum and passive neutrality. Quiet, successful confidence doesn't need to protest, it just giggles and carries on as normal.
Correct, all these so called smart watches don't hold the candle to the Swiss watch designs.
There is way too much focus on the health & fitness FAD on all of these.
Personally, I can't understand it.
How about introducing a smart watch that is a WATCH without all this fitness & health crap...

There was no such thing as an unlocked iPhone back then. It was exclusive to AT&T. lol I just remember with the iPhone 3g was announced and the pricing was cut in half.

Damit, it will no doubt have much better battery life than the real deal. For the price.....I guess it might be worse it for some people to trial a wearable.

By unlocked I should've put off-contract lol.
