They should integrate a forward facing camera into the home button. That would be cool if it is possible.:D

Whats interesting is that the LCD screen appears to be the same size with the home button being larger in size. Anyone else notice this?

Yes I am highly suspicious and make a mental note that iResq is probably a bad company to do business with...

Wow, seriously, 6 pages and only two posts about the photo being fake? Do all of you realize you are participating in a viral ad campaign for iresq? Man, what a waste of dataspace. I think I'm going to empty Safari's cache now...

agree,
and the mountings are now on both sides, not next to the doc connector

A larger battery would make it thicker not taller.
I'm no battery engineer by any means, but I do understand volume. I find the above statement inconclusive in that the battery doesn't have to be necessarily thicker but could also be taller to achieve the same capacity.

We'll know for sure come June or July if the iconic form-factor has indeed changed.

I was thinking that that thing could possible be some sort of notification light similar to the sleeping indicator on MacBooks. Who knows?

Yeah it would totally be worth making this huge phone even bigger just for an LED... not that it doesn't already have a screen where all the information in the world can be displayed!

I got it!!

It's a button that allows you to do a quick swap of your broken screen. And, you will be able to replace your battery yourself. And, then you can open it and hide your weed in it.

Cheers.

Maybe most of us don't think it's fake. A 3.7" screen makes perfect sense to me; it puts the new iPhone in competition with the Nexus One and Droid in terms of screen size, and as someone mentions in another quote, might be a new "standard size" hitting the industry.

It might get a little bigger to incorporate a higher resolution display. Apple HAS to increase the resolution of the 4thGen iPhone in order to stay competitive. The Nexus One has a 3.7in screen that sports an 800x480 resolution!!! The N1's width resolution is equal to the iPhones height resolution! Its NUTS and awesome. They will do the same thing the iPad does for un-updated applications, off a 100% view or zoom to fill the screen until they are able to update their apps. They simply HAVE to increase the resolution.

Every iPhone owning friend I have who has seen my 3.7" Nexus One screen next to their 3.5" iPhone realizes that that extra 0.2" adds up to a lot of screen space, especially with the higher resolutions. There's room enough in that extra space at the top for something the iPhone is sorely missing...the interactive menu/notification bar on Android 2.1 that is similar to the menu bar on our Macs.

Apple's really got to step up the screen technology to stay ahead on that front.

I don't think it will be 4", because I think the screen will be the same or very similar to what the new Android phones are using, a 3.7" (0.2" bigger) one with 480x800. It just seems it's the new "standard". Besides, judging by the picture, I don't see a 0.5" increase.

Rumors in the Android community of an upcoming handset with a 4.3" screen. I'd go for that!

Making space for the camera. Simple.

Add to that the class dump that showed the video streaming api in 3.2 and it all fits.

If that company is an authorized Apple repair company (e.g., I assume authorized by Apple) you would think they would not be posting pictures like this with links to their company. I would think it would endanger their authorized repair status.

So you don't like the iPod touch? I actually haven't held one, so I don't know how comfortable it is to hold, but obviously Apple doesn't think thinner is bad.

The back is designed with a curve to it so it is comfortable to hold, its also significantly lighter than the iphone IMO. Apple puts a TON of thought into ergonomics with their hand-helds lately.

Why would parts get sent out to third party prior to the sale of them? No need for anyone to have repair parts early. it is logistically possible for the parts to show up the day of the release. Also wouldn't apple have these parties agree to not release data or risk lawsuit or ties broken? Wouldn't a taller phone also conflict with a lot of accessories for the phone? It's fine like it is. If you want bigger, get the iPad. If it is a real pic and it is larger it must be because of a new feature.

Any chance the reflective surface is a much better antenna?

AT&T phone service is soooooooo bad. If Apple could finesses it with improved reception people would be happy

A forward facing camera on an iPhone? How awkward would that be? Shaky, etc. I know there are fans of video conferencing, etc. I just wonder how many there really are out of all of the users that would use that feature?
