I just got mine yesterday from walmart, the 64GB AT&T iPad 2. They only had 4 that came in the afternoon. Though I looked online and called, it seems they're not really updating it online or on the phone because the guy in the electronic department says they got so much calls and people came down after walmart sold'em all.

Just got back from the San Leandro Wal-Mart. I got a 32GB wifi white. They had about 7-8 left (mostly Verizon) when I left.

Props to this thread. Used link to check BB. Said in stock, walked in, walked out with one in 10 minutes.

For those of you following the Target threads and that have had some luck, can you give us a feel as to when the stock is most "likely" to be updated...early mornings before opening? Or randomly any time mid-day? Thanks!

In my area (north ATL) it's seemed like just ONE Target store would get stock and it'd show up around 11 or 11:30 in the morning. Generally sold out by early to mid afternoon depending on what came in. I've seen units pop up in others, but this one store seemed to get nearly all of the deliveries.

It seemed like a bunch of stock hit Best Buy & Target on Tues, Wed, and Thurs this week, but nothing today.

I picked up a 64gb white AT&T from Walmart today. I noticed it behind the counter lying face down, so I asked if it was an iPad 2: it was the only unit that they had in the store.

Thanks for the links. I check walmart this morning as saw they got in the 32GB WiFi Black iPad 2 in. I called them up and they said they got two of them in. It was about 35 minutes away, so I asked if they would hold it for 1 hour, they said sure, but nothing longer. Im happy I bought it at that Walmart because they were nice employees.

WalMart in Guilford, CT

Yay Walmart

I finally snagged a 32g Black AT&T IPad 2. I was always looking at Targets and Walmarts online inventory. None of the Targets have any at all. Today before I left work I checked Walmarts listing. The one on my way home from work showed 64g ATT Black was in stock but nothing else. So I said what the heck, go for it. When I got there they had (1) 32g left (the one I wanted and bought) and (2) 64g ATT Black. So if anyone is in the Lewisville, TX area. The Walmart on Main Street had 2 of the 64g ATT Black in stock.;)

saw "in stock" for two BB in my area but when i called yesterday they said their ipads are for people that reserved only. Today i still see "in stock" would i be able to get one if people don;t pick up their reservations? how long do they have to pick theirs' up

to give a little something back:

for anyone interested in the now-defunct 40% off ipad warranty that squaretrade was offering on tuesday, it might be worth calling them to see if they'll give you a 'one-time exception' and honor that price since you weren't able to order the warranty on tuesday as you didn't have your new toy in-hand.

it worked in my case. ;)

The Walmart information worked for me!

I used the link to check inventory at Walmarts near Long Beach CA and the Walmart on Beach Blvd and the 22 freeway had a few in stock from yesterday's delivery. I picked up a black 16G ATT. Thanks for the link to the inventory at Walmart!

I have had no success. I think you need to be in front of the store when it becomes available, because they get sold out immediately.:(

I just called my local BB and they told me that they are not selling any iPad 2's. They call the people on the reserve list and if they do not respond, they go to the next person on the list. They will continue this until all the reserve requests are completed, and then they will start a new reserve list. This does not sound good!

from a Wal-Mart product page copy this hyperlink into the web browser

btw right now there are three black ipad2 16gb wifi units in stock--I just called them.

Yay! Just got my 32 black wifi from walmart in Taylorsville, UT. 1 left, go get it! Now to BB to return my 16gb...

Thanks for the links - due to your links I was able to pick one up at Best Buy today! Amazing!!! Thanks again!

Just tried the WalMart inventory checker and it's saying that it was last updated on 3/20/2011 at 1:28 PM (5 day old data?). Is it showing something similar for anyone else?

Another note of thanks to the OP of this thread, grabbed mine from Target-Whittier the other day.

Walked in & asked for a Black 32Gb Wi-Fi, no lines, no waiting, no fuss, no muss!

It said In Store Only and I called the store and they had one 3G ATT 16GB one left and they held it for me for two hours. Yes, no reservation, just lucky I guess.

What did the best buy link say? I'm assuming you had no reservation right

Yep, you're really better off just calling when it comes to walmart.

Thank you for this thread! My hubby is working out of town and I was able to find the white 64g AT&T model at BB in Midland, Texas, and had him pick it up for me. I called them first thing at 9 am and they held it all day till my hubby could get off work and make the 2 hour drive. Then he dropped by express mail and shipped it priority and I should get it Monday! Yay! Much better than April 25th from Apple.com...I cancelled. Thank you again for the links.
