Mad props to the OP!!!! He helped me score a 64gig iPad 2 yesterday at Target. I checked inventory in the afternoon, gave them a call and had them put it on hold until I could get over there. Snagged the last wifi model in the store. So stoked right now!

To those saying the inventories aren't accurate, you would do well to read everything on in the original post.

When the WalMart inventory shows up, it will say when it was last updated. For some reason yesterday it rolled back from an update on the 17th to the 13th. If you see that, or any other time that isn't within the last day or so, then it's not going to be accurate.

I also noted that once per day the BestBuy inventory updates, and during that time everything says "In Store Only."

Target, as has been stated, seems most accurate.

Congratulations to all those that did find them. I've given up on the States. I converted all my money back to Canadian and I'm waiting it out till Friday now. I just can't keep driving down.

The Walmart tracker said it was updated yesterday when I checked yesterday and dated today when I checked today. I watched the electronics woman open every single box that they had...no ipads. Either people at Walmart are hiding them or Walmart isn't accurate. Sadly, I didn't see any new deliveries to the Target in my area.

I've been checking targets frequently around the Kansas City area and every time they say unavailable.

Worked for me

I went to two targets, the first one couldn't locate the iPad on hand, but at the second target, there it was on the shelf, even though the employee said they only had the first generation. Good luck all!

Kansas City area: the Target at 135th and State Line had several wi-fi only models available this morning. I had a friend buy a white 64 model and the site said they had the black 32 in stock as well.

Did you check inventory online before you went? I am wondering if the online inventory status is not correct. Every one I've checked shows unavailable.

Awesome, I'll go check it out after work.

I just called the store and they told me they can't find it. They said it's either lost in shipment, stolen or lost in the store...

I did check before I went. I explained this website to the first target, they went back and checked the stock room but no luck. After buying my ipad at the second target, I checked the system again and it took about 30 mins to update.

Some nearby Best Buys show "In-Stock". I'm assuming those are for reserve only?

Some of mine are showing in stock as well. Bad thing is my reservation isn't at either of them. I'd assume that any available stock will be going to people with reservations. What I don't know is about those who decided against getting the iPad because they found it somewhere else. Will those go back in the pile for reservations or will those be available for walk ins? I'm just hoping it's a good sign and my BB will get in a shipment soon.

Oh jeez that sucks. Hopefully we both get ours soon. Good luck.

The Target about 20 miles away has 16GB white models in stock. I want an AT&T model though, so unless I buy one to flip on ebay, I'll sit it out. :p

agh that's the one i want! flip it to me! haha.

they're still in stock by 8 pm? the stores around me all consistently sell out by noon every day. I hate it.

Still showing as limited availability and it's been that way all day. Either it's an error or they haven't sold it all day.

those BB and Target links appear to be good, but there's no need to mess with all of that javascript for the wal-mart links. just use the mobile site. ;)

here are walmart links for you guys. replace the XXXXX with your 5 digit zip. i'll leave scripts and browser plugins as an exercise to the reader. :)

Just wanted to post on here for those it may help. Wal-Mart in Kennett, Poplar Bluff, and Dexter, in Southeast Missouri, all have plenty of iPad 2's IN stock and will be getting more in stock in the next few days.

I checked around and the shelves at all those stores have plenty, and I did verify that they are iPad 2's. I won't be getting one, but I thought others who may be close to the area might want to know.

This area is not very "Apple inclined", so the iPad is not especially popular around here.
