Doesn't work fully. I can only get the 16gb wifi to show when I put I. Product Id of 32gb and 64gb

you may have to hit reload, but it does work.

Keep in mind that they might be out of date. Your links give me the same results that the JavaScript did, but the JavaScript tells you the "last updated" date and time, which was 3/13 in my case. So your link is telling me in stock even though that's only accurate as of 3/13.

I wouldn't bother with walmart. Their system is useless, the people working are way beyond useless.
It's such a vile place.

LOL I agree with this. I only posted the info I know about wal-marts in my area, because I saw the stock of iPads with my own 2 eyes, and I am friends with the Store Manager at my local wal-mart.

Can someone please check the Target site??? I tried multiple links and I cannot get any to load. On the off-chance the links load I receive an error after entering my zip and hitting enter.

I think they may have shut it down!!!:eek::eek:

Update: Seems to be fixed now :)

Just got back from the Waterbury CT Target, website was showing they had one white 64GB in stock. I was hoping for a black 32 but figured I could deal with the extra space. Thanks OP!

Walmart's inventory is definitely not updated. As it showed the white 64gb At&t model as in stock shown updated 3/19 12AM but when i called they said that they weren't in stock and that the online inventory is not up to date.

Scored White 16gb Wifi @ Santa Ana Target

First thanks to Virtute for the locators.

After seeming to be always one step behind getting my preferred 32Gb Black Wifi (twice this week the last one was being sold just as I got to the electronics counter)I found a 16gb white wifi's at Bristol st. Target in Santa Ana CA. It was strange that they seem to just come up on the locator later in the morning 11 ish, i checked it @ 6am and nothing showed. called store and the clerk said they had 4 left. Got there in 5 maybe 10 minutes and got the 2nd to last one. The clerk said they had sold out earlier that morning and then around 10am the manager brought out more. Either way keep checking it.

Good luck to everyone.

Big ups to the OP (and the other originator of the Target links)! My gf and I each scored a white 16 gb wifi at a Target store in Santa Ana today. The place seemed to have been descended upon by ourselves and a few others who took note online, as I think they must've sold out within 30 minutes of us getting there.

The online inventory said they were sold out ~1 hr after we left with our iPads, but there was an iPad left when we walked out so it may have taken a bit of time for that to get sold. Seems like the online inventory is VERY accurate. The guy at the counter said that his manager told him they got them in just at 10:45am, and looking back, we were hopping in the car at 10:53am.

thanks to the OP.

i picked up a 32GB at the Norwalk Target after going to 2 Apple stores in the OC and 3 other stores.

thank you!
:D

Thanks OP!

I've always just lurked around these forums (have spent a lot of time here the last few weeks) but wanted to sign up so I can say thanks to the OP! The Target links helped me score a black 32G wifi in Danvers, MA this morning.

There was no availability when I checked last night. Checked again this morning when I woke up and Danvers showed availability. Figured I'd take a ride up there, needed some other stuff anyways. Got there about 8:10am and they had 1 in the cabinet! There was no one else anywhere near the electronics section. SWEET! Good luck to everyone!

Thank!!!

:D Thanks OP I was driving myself Mad looking for a ATT iPad 2 and found one today now I can finally sleep in and stop waking up early looking for one!!!!

Lots of stores seemed to have a slew of iPad 2's today when looking online this afternoon in the Arlington, VA area

I wondered whether the stores got shipments last night so they added them to their inventory list. Then they sold them this morning but had not updated their online inventory list yet.

Yeah, must have been something up. I walked into a Target in Winchester VA today not even looking for the iPad and of course I had to walk by.. and darned if they didn't have six of them. Scored the 32gb wi-fi I'd been lusting after.

Chatted up the sales guy and he said that they'd been so hammered by phone calls they were just telling people "no" that they didn't have them in stock because it was faster and people weren't so hateful.

Dropped a message to a friend that was looking for one and he called back an hour later and I ran back up and they were all gone.

I give Apple a lot of credit for setting up a system that is so convoluted their fanboys are spending hour after hour, and still coming up empty handed.

Then after investing even more time, they still fail to see they're being duped. Behind the scenes Apple is pulling everyone's strings. Creating an illusion only Apple can pull off.

Apple uses a clever formula to insure the majority of sales are made via their retail or online stores. Knowing the demographics are slanted towards younger customers, they have moved their products into big box stores to include Walmart which to the uninitiated, gives the impression of discounted prices.

Finally and perhaps the most clever of all, is to create the illusion that short supply and high demand is the reason for the chaos.

Interesting points. However, does o part of you think that if the units were available that Apple would make them available if for nothing more than to be able to say, "We sold X million iPad 2's in X amount of time. A mind blowing statistic."?

So I used the walmart JavaScript yesterday and it showed in stock as of 3/19 12am. On 3/19 at 12pm I go into the walmart and they say they have no stock. I checked and it shows in stock as of 3/20 12am. Is the inventory system incorrect, or the employees just too lazy to check.

i really want a white unit but can never find any in stock. I picked up a black 32GB wifi at target but can't bring myself to open it as i really want white. I guess ill keep looking.

Mad props to the OP!!!! He helped me score a 64gig iPad 2 yesterday at Target. I checked inventory in the afternoon, gave them a call and had them put it on hold until I could get over there. Snagged the last wifi model in the store. So stoked right now!

Congratulations! You are, indeed, fortunate.
Someone posted here that they over heard a Target employee telling a customer on the phone that they couldn't hold the iPad2 for them.

one point

THX to the OP, like other ppl said in the earlier posts. Those employees don't even bother to look at their inventory, and just give a "no ipad2" answer. With thses links, it's much easier to just monitor ipads at home.

There is one thing I want to point out. Even though Walmart's system is very inaccurate sometime, there is a feature that bestbuy and target don't have. Once you open the java link, you see the stores and availability, and also the link "email me when it's available." I don't know how many of you used this feature. I just wanna give it a try :)

Also, is there anyone in this forum hunting for an ipad 2 at seattle area? I live in Bellingham, and there was no new shipment at all in all the stores in my area ever since the release day.

PS: I signed up an account here just want to post sth in this perticular thread

The target inventory just updated for me and said available under one of my stores so I called the store but they just simply said, "no" and that the online system is normally wrong. Do you think they haven't seen the shipment yet or do you think they just haven't checked yet?

The general consensus here is that it's usually pretty accurate. If they say, "No," without putting you on hold and checking, then I wouldn't put much trust in what they say.

When the target inventory says limited availability does that mean the store has some available for sale??

Yes, but not very many.

Yes, but not very many.

I went to a target not too far way from my house since it was on the way home. It stated on the site, limited availability, but when I went in there was nothing in stock. The clerk even helped me out and brought out the scanner. According to the scanner, nothing came in, nor was anything in the back. I asked him when the last shipment came in, and he stated a few days ago.

So maybe its not as accurate as we may think... :/
