Well shucks. Only bad thing about upgrading to a new iPhone since the release of 3.0 is that I lost my UDID registration... I guess I'll have to stick to just looking at pictures, haha.

Pretty sure the photos synced from iPhoto/Aperture are much higher resolution.

It had to optimise all the ones I'd previously been syncing and the zoom level seems WAY higher.

I'd say twice as good as before.

When you connect to a wifi signal that requires you to login, like university wifi or wherever the case may be...there is now an auto-login option (like the auto-join option)

If you scroll down in this same dialog screen you'll see an IPv6 option that appears to be new.

- You are now able to view contact groups within the phone app. Was previously only possible in Contacts
Incorrect. You can do that in 3.1.3.

would also would have loved a Global push notification don't disturb so i can say set it for 11pm-7am for sleep or when im at work 9-5 etc.
That would be great. I have to turn my phone upside down on the night stand because of those bloody notifications at night.

Thank god! This will make school every day so much easier.
My wife will love that since the wifi network at her work requires that she agree to the terms of service every time it reconnects.

I don't know about cool new feature but a new feature.

I'm not entirely sure what it is or what it's used for but maybe someone else here knows.

Emoji is now in the keyboards list under E.

Finally figured out why I wasn't getting emoji with 4.0. I needed to restart the settings app. Once I restarted emoji was available under international keyboards using the iemoji app.

Here's another tidbit for the make calendar events from dates in email messages. I noticed this last night while working...

Apparently, there's some logic built in that picks up plain English phrases for time, as noted in the image below. The sender did nothing special and no one on the distro with pre-4.0 iPhone software got a calendar event link.

Snakes in a @#$%!! datacenter is an inside joke for us... after someone in the company actually started that rumor. Having the busiest Symms on the planet, per EMC, isn't nearly as funny though.

Uh oh, someone might actually call a Marriott because their number was posted on a public forum!!

Probably just means when your roaming you can be sure your phone wont use any data :D

If you turn cellular data off then you get what that says...lol. It turns cell data off no data is used. This is good for if you don't have a data plan or you pay per use, then you can turn it off and dont have to worry about data being used when you dont want it.

There's now a Vietnamese keyboard. It works pretty well although I did have to play around with getting the accent marks right. Here's a quick guide for the accents that I can figure out. Type these letters after the vowel or word (before space) to get the corresponding accent mark.

s - sắc
f - huyèn
j - nặng
x - ngã
r - hỏi
Double tap A, D, E, O or U to get their variants

I've noticed that when browsing the 'Settings' menu, if I press the home button and then go back, it remembers the menu I was in
