I don't believe though that GOG will give you the MacOS version when it comes out without paying for it again.
Hmmm, maybe. I would think they might for a first party title like CP2077, especially if Steam is doing it. I know some Mac releases skip GOG but I think that has more to do with the porting devs and DRM.

Steam does this as a matter of policy. If you bought the game on the pc and there’s a as Mac version you can download it

No knock on GOG just that it’s a known thing in Steam

I'm not too sure why he responded that way except that he may not use or like Steam.

As you said, it's a policy and I can't think of any exception where someone had to buy the same MacOS game on Steam after buying the Windows game on Steam.

I did not expect much from the 2.3 update. However I am now hype.

I'm curious to know what the performance will be on my M4 Max studio vs. my PC (RX 7800XT). Which one will be faster?

It’s such an incredible game and a must play for anyone who loves the cyberpunk genre and or action rpgs in general.

And what a back story - a v shaky launch which cd projekt red didn’t give up on and who then transformed it into an astonishing experience.

Looking forward to playing it natively.

I just checked on Steam; the game is (with the expansion pack) 90 bucks!
Ehh... that will have to wait till a sale happens. The PS5 game will have to keep me busy a while yet.

prolly depends on the resolution and settings.
Given the released specs, I'm not sure if the Studio will have the same level of performance of the RX7800XT. I play my games at 1440p. I'll be firing up my PC, maybe today to start getting benchmarks.

If the game isn't on steam and/or I have to rebuy it, then its a moot point as I'm not willing to buy the game a second time.

With no RT and MetalFX upscaling, I'm not sure you would be able to tell the difference (visually) between the two. Especially with the For this Mac defaults that they recommend.

The MSI Titan 18 with the RTX 5090 at 4K w/DLSS Quality caps at under 40fps
1440p Ultra w/DLSS Quality at 80fps

WIll our Macs outpace the 5090 Mobile?
